Type of a scam: Online Purchase

ALMOST SCAMMED

Found a transmission on Facebook Marketplace. Spoke with a guy posing as Aaron with what may be a fake profile. After asking questions I searched out reviews and the business itself via Google maps. It does not exist. Them, I reverse searched their images. Their warehouse with an address in Corpus Christi, Texas is actually located in San Antoni, a part of a large series of warehouses. Their stock photo showing engines and transmissions in their "fake" warehouses was lifted from a truck recycling business. Additional red flags were "manual invoices only" ams after stating that I was no longer interested due to risk, I was blocked. So, save yourself the headache.

File a complaint with the FBI's internet fraud department on this... Purchased a rebuilt transmission from powertrainexchangetx.com. They never shipped my part. I was totally ripped off by them, they don't answer their phone, and it's days before a get a response by email.

On August 4th 2024 I found a listing on Craigslist for engines and transmissions for sale by powertrain exchange of Texas I contacted and spoke with Stacy and she advised that they offer a payment plan with a down payment so doing the best checking I could I found that they had decent feedback and that the engines and transmissions that they sell were of good quality so via well I sent them $2,950 they set me up on a payment schedule of $250 a month for the next 10 months we spent the better part of three weeks trying to get that set up through either PayPal or cash app after that couldn't be arranged I've been sent them another $1,350 with no additional monies due she sent me a copy of a pickup for r&l lines of two pieces sent to my address after 2 weeks I didn't hear anything and I didn't receive anything so I called and spoke with Stacy again and she advised me that there was a mix-up she was out with covid for 2 weeks and that the shipping bill of lading had been set aside as a hold due to the fact that there was only one payment shown it did not show the second payment that I had sent them at which point in time Stacy set up supposedly a delivery for September 14th between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. September 14th came and went the next day I called her and actually was able to get a hold of her on the phone scratch that via text and she advised that the shipper had not picked up that evening and that she had arranged for another pickup with a new delivery date of September 21st between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. at which point in time it did not show so again I contacted Stacy and she advised me that she would track down the shipment she texted me back a couple of days later said that she had found the shipment and it was on their shipping dock still that had not been picked up I asked at that point to get a positive ship date and delivery date that was the last time I heard from her and now is on September 22nd I have been texting emailing calling anyway I can try and get a hold of them with no response of any kind avoid this company like the plague they are nothing but [censored] and thieves and Stacy is a complete and total liar as well as Heather Blankenship both of which stole my money and now will not return it

Says Heather Blankenship owner and also mentioned demarcus clark. Payment via PayPal and/or cashapp only. Should've been red flag. Everything seemed legit but Please do not fall for

Back on September 11, 2023 there was an item(s) on Facebook Messenger that I wanted to buy. I spoke to this Debbie LaRue who had videos of item(s) and I was sent them. I was going to go get them that evening but their location was wrong on the messenger post. It said Plano, TX but they were in Corpus Christi. Debbie stated she owns a shop and they would be there all day. She is the owner of Powertrain Exchange TX. After finding out they were not local she stated she could ship and used R&L Carriers and it would have a tracking. We worked out a deal for $475 to have 2 items pallet shipped. I gave her a shipping address and asked how to pay for items. Debbie said she has cashapp and to use her husbands account. I was given www.powertrainexchangetx.com, that didn't pull up so she sent me her husbands cashapp, "$marcusclark4". I sent payment and was told it would ship out the next day. I reached out the next day 09/12/23 and was told it would go out by 6 pm. After the 14th I then tried emailing and calling the business and got a few emails and no one answered the phone. I have screen shots of the conversation, I was taken for money and the business and owners wont communicate. I was scammed and potential fraud taking money and not communicating and no product.
