Type of a scam Phishing

A text message came through from the “US Postal Service” saying a package couldn’t be delivered due to an incorrect address. Now I actually WAS expecting a package, but the website address looked like it had extra characters (uspuspu instead of usps) so, I Googled to find the real USPS website. The scam website looked identical, but the external links didn’t work. It asked for my shipping address, phone number, and full name. It may have asked for other information later on, but I of course didn’t feed it anything to move further. Anyway, I entered the “tracking number” it gave for my package on the REAL USPS site and it said the number didn’t work. Scam.
