I received a text out of the blue stating "Contact MRS BPO LLC regarding a matter with Verizon Wireless. MRS is a collection agency. Visit us at: https://portal.mrsbpo.com. Rights/information: mrsbpo.com/disclosures To text with us Click: https://mrstext.com/oBwdBd?intent=xxxxxxxxx or Reply: Chat" (xxxxxxxx is my phone number). First text was 3 years after ending my Verizon contract and Verizon confirmed account paid and closed. I have deleted and reported the text as junk many times, but have received over 20 texts anyway.

This is the initial text I received, so I decided to look up both companies. Transworld System inc. is a collections agency and MRS BPO LLC is also a collections agency which I have had collections be purchased by other agencies before but never try to collect for one. When I called them they answered MRS ASSOCIATES not MRS BPO LLC, then when I asked for the basic information that is typically provided to collections agencies by the company the debt came from they did not have anything but the name. It was not the name of the company either it was who participated which they bill through the company name.

The text was very professional in appearance & said they were attempting to collect a debt that I owed. It directed me to their website and also gave a second tel# to call 866-809-1062 to discuss & set up payment arrangement. I went to the website & it wants me to 'verify' my information to be sure I am who I say I am for security purposes. I did not do this. It says it cannot tel me what I owe unless I complete the security information. I also did not call the customer service tel #. I am 72 and have zero accounts and certainly nothing that is past due. I own my home & auto. My one credit card is paid in full every month. I tried to find them on the ScamPulse.com list and nothing came up. I blocked their tel# & deleted the text. Still makes me feel scared.
