POMERANIAN PUPPIES FOR ADOPTION is a Facebook group that offers Pomeranians up for adoption. The whole thing is a very elaborate scam. They post adorable photos and prey on people at their weakest, saddest time in their lives like right after losing their beloved pet. My dog is 13 and has terminal thyroid cancer, so I was watching this group for over a year until I found a puppy to adopt. The main Admin is PERRY WEST, and he has multiple Admins who also post pictures of puppies for adoption. The person I dealt with was "JENNIFER MARTIN." I contacted her about adopting a puppy and after 3 hrs of going back & forth with very in-depth, valid questions, she sent me an application to fill out and promised me that I could go meet/adopt the puppy the next day. The puppy was supposedly 2 hrs away from my home and I was very excited. The adoption fee was $700, but she asked for a deposit of $450 to hold the puppy & ensure that I would "show up as agreed." I paid my "refundable deposit" via Zelle, and the next day I was ready to go pick up the puppy, but she never gave me an address. The puppy was "in a foster home," and she gave me the woman's name as Miss Alex. Then I received a message from Jennifer that she couldn't meet me because her husband was in a terrible car accident and she was heading to the hospital. She even sent me a photo of a man in a hospital bed!! She promised the puppy would be delivered to me that day instead, but I insisted that I could go and pick up the puppy since it was only 2 hrs. away. She said the puppy was already waiting at the "delivery service" and they would contact me to confirm delivery information. About 2 hrs later, I got a call from BLUE COLLAR PET TRAVEL. They said that the puppy was dropped off in a carrier that did not meet their standards, and I could "rent" an "air conditioned carrier" for $600. I refused because it was 70 degrees, and a breezy, sunny day, and I insisted on coming to them to pick up the puppy myself, which they would not allow me to do. It was at this point that I realized it was a scam. They told me that since I didn't want to pay the $600, that I was refusing delivery, and that was the end. I contacted "JENNIFER MARTIN" to tell her about my refusing to pay $600 for a carrier, and to see if I could possibly pick the puppy up the next day or any day for that matter. She never responded back. I contacted PERRY WEST, who assured me that JENNIFER was one of his best breeders and I "had nothing to worry about."

I later opened the email from BLUE COLLAR PET TRAVEL, and this is when i KNEW it was a scam, because the air-conditioned crate was to be boarded onto an airplane ----which was NEVER going to happen as there was no way to ship the puppy from where it was to my home! There are multiple typo and grammar mistakes in the email, as well.

PERRY WEST also has a website called POMERANIAN SPOT, and many of the photos that they post on the Facebook group are also on this website. This is a VERY elaborate scheme and must fool people on a daily basis. I found a Facebook Group that lists all "scam groups" that are posted on Facebook, and I found that POMERANIAN PUPPIES FOR ADOPTION was listed there. I posted my story & found that many people fell victim to this group. I was told by "JENNIFER" that she was in Newark, NJ. She told someone else that she was in Texas. It appears that they say the puppy is in whatever state you are located in, but the puppies do not exist. They all get referred to this delivery service. AND, if you accept and pay the $600 to "rent" the carrier, they then ask for more money as "travel insurance" for the puppy, and it goes on from there.

I took screen shots of my whole conversation with Jennifer Martin & Perry West & have copies of the delivery service's documents that I can submit to you if you'd like me to. I am attaching the photo of the Facebook Group, but I have plenty more evidence photos that I would gladly share with you.

PLEASE STOP THIS GROUP AND WEBSITE FROM HURTING ANYONE ELSE. It is disgusting that they are taking advantage of very sad, emotional people. $450 may not be a lot to some people, but it is more than I make in one week, so it was A LOT of money for me to lose. I was willing to spend it on a puppy, but cannot afford to just lose that kind of money. Apparently, the "refundable deposits" also vary, and could be $600, $800, or more. AND they are not "refundable" at all, because they just stop messaging you back once they have your money.
