Type of a scam: Online Purchase

She has relocated to the south Island close to the city of Victoria according to ALL the numerous posts for financial help to do her laundry to needing furniture and beds. She and her mid 20's son have taken so much from so many. Look at Trena Bennett's post on the Colwood Community page on Facebook. Trena and others have been warning good people for years. Keep eyes and ears open and report. Many business names and most not registered with Revenue Canada YET she charges GST. And there starts another scam.

Rhonda Heaslip advertised on a Facebook page that she is looking for vendors to be part of her wedding handbook. She advertised that the handbook would feature vendors for new group members and would include some fun guides for brides planning their wedding. I sent her my information and payment of $63 for the ad. She required my phone number to make a client profile, and I specifically stated that I did not want my personal phone number posted in the advertisement.

She posted the document live before showing it to any of the vendors. The document was not at all what was advertised to us. It is a 350+ page PDF document that is meant to be printed. The vendor advertisements are on the last few pages - my advertisement is on page 302. The document is compiled of unaltered Canva Pro templates that she is claiming are her design and profiting from using without crediting the creator. There are 20+ pages just of colouring sheets and blank journal pages. There are spelling and grammar errors throughout the document, and it is of very poor quality. Additionally, she posted my personal phone number after I specifically told her not to, spelled my business name wrong, and did not use the photo I provided.

Rhonda claims to be a digital media design expert and sells her services on her website and Facebook. This document is so far from being a professional document - it is copyrighted and is not at all what was advertised to vendors. She has multiple documents in multiple provincial Facebook groups and has made thousands of dollars from these documents already. She is now seeking more vendors to fill the advertising pages.

I feel that I was not provided the service that was advertised, and the document is of such poor quality. She violated my privacy by posting my phone number publically and is not making any effort to fix the problem after multiple emails and messages. I really do feel I got scammed by someone who is trying to make a buck on Facebook.
