Received a call from Citi cards fraud department asking if I made certain charges and I declined making them.

I was told an investigation would ensue. This is the third time in a year I have had false charges on my card. I have since ceased from using this card.

I had put a fraud alert and froze all my accounts due to another scammer trying to take money out of one of them. I was notified by one of my credit cards of the attempt to charge for $94.87 which I refused since I did not make the order nor have I ever heard of this company. My card has been deleted and now I have to wait on another card to be sent. Since I am disabled, this is a large inconvenience for me. Isn't there some other way to keep all these scammers from trying to steal from people?

*Notification from my credit card co. "We declined $94.87 with card ending in #//// at BERMANSMARTPRODUCTSCO. Was this you? Reply YES or NO. If yes, you will not be charged unless the purchase is attempted again. If no, we will close your current card and send you a new one that you should receive in 5 to 7 days. I noticed the first charge of $1 on June 24 of 2023 and tried to cancel. They assured me it was.

I was then charged several times in increments of $49.95 between June 24 and August 7 of 2023

I was unsuccessful speaking with the merchant by phone on August 7th.

I was given the information, they billed on behalf of a streaming company. I have not heard or been a customer of that service.

The amount has been paid through my CashApp account.
