I am selling a used vehicle, and have been approached by numerous potential buyers, mostly FB Messenger and SMS/Text all requesting a specific vehicle report. It is commonly known to stay away from this (see this link for a good discussion on the topic - https://www.reddit.com/r/UsedCars/comments/1eq2m22/possible_bait/ ). These guys are posing as a serious buyer, are very pushing and aiming to get the seller (me) to pay for a vehicle history type report, when the two standards in ontario are Carfax and the MTO UVIP. Some of the reports asked for include: nationalproof.ca, worldofgarage.com, globalvinsolution.com, and carproof.pro.
