I received a letter that a Maria Fulcher had passed away and had left $10,800,020.00 in a POD savings account. Proposed that I come forward as the beneficiary of the policy and 10% would go to various charity organizations and the remaining 90% be equitably shared between us. I'm sure the next information he would request would be my banking information to send the funds to. I am a retired employee of the Ohio Attorney General's Office and I realized this was a scam.

Received a letter in the US Mail from Peter Abbott LLP. The letter reported unclaimed life insurance proceeds from Maria Glazier, a former stock broker and retired CPA. She allegedly left an unclaimed payable on death insurance policy amount of $10,800,000. Attempt to find relatives was unsuccessful so proposal is to present recipient of letter as legitimate beneficiary. 10% of amount would go to a charities and the other 90% would be shared equally between scammer and recipient. A transparent scam.

i received a letter in the mail from a supposed attorney stating that someone with the same last name as mine had passed away and that no known relatives were able to be located. The deceased person had left a POD savings account valued at $10,800,020 and that the attorney would be willing to file a claim on my behalf in exchange for 50% of the distribution. I should contact him at the at the provided email address.

Stated that a person with a similar last name had passed from Covid approx 4 yrs ago and had an unclaimed Life Insurance policy "Payable on Death" (POD) savings account valued at $10,800,020.00. They have been unable to find living relatives or claimants to the estate. Reaching out to me, proposing to make a 10% donation and then split the remaining funds, 50/50.
