He then proceeded to male us a cashier check from Georgia at a truck stop & was demanding I send $1347 over PayPal or Zelle to the person picking up the puppy. I demanded I spoke with the person picking up the puppy & that we FaceTimed with him & his wife so we knew who they were & their living situation before getting the puppy, just like we have done everyone else. He said his wife wasn’t comfortable FaceTiming because she was shy. He then tells me that it’s a family friend picking up the puppy so they would be in contact. Finally the guy contacts me & it’s a what’s app number +1 (352) 676-0283. I call him out about it all & ask why he lives in Arizona but the check came from Georgia. & he just rambles on about how he just wants the dog. Took the check to the bank & they confirmed that it was indeed an altered cashiers check!

Lots of exposure and awareness. The adverts tend to be colorful, eye-catching and attract lots of attention. Plus, it's a form of advertising with a captive audience, meaning people who are stuck in traffic can't avoid seeing the wrapped car, motorcycle and T-shirt alongside them. This program will last for 12 weeks and the minimum you can participate is 8 weeks.

My dad received a text message claiming to be Purdue Farms, offering to pay $700/week to advertise by wrapping his car. He responded because he thought it was legit. Thankfully, once he received this letter AND what appears to be a legitimate check, he asked me to look into it. Super grateful others reported this scam, so I could easily verify this is fraud before my dad incurred fees for depositing a fake check OR worse money sent that could not be recovered. Thank you to all that took the time to enter the scam.
NOTE: We also filed a report with the FBI since it is a federal crime to use the USPS to perpetuate a crime. Filed through www.ic3.gov
We also figured out the return address on the envelope is a house in NJ that was just sold in April 2021 AND the USPS envelope was mailed from California, NOT New Jersey
