I received an email that started with - "Thank you for your application for the Assistant Project Manager (Remote) position at Park 85 Realty. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort you dedicated to your submission. We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to advance to the next stage of our hiring process. We would like to formally invite you to a Zoom interview, during which we will further explore your qualifications and evaluate how your experience aligns with the responsibilities of the role. This interview will also provide an opportunity for us to gain a deeper understanding of your skills and the potential contributions you can bring to our team."

I did give them my email per the request of follow up, but as I do with all companies I interview with I tried to find information about them and its fairly scarce. My first warning bell was I couldn't find where I had applied to Park 85 Realty. I have been applying to a lot of places lately, so it was likely I had forgotten, but there should have been at least some record on one of the job boards I use. My next warning bell was the whole interview taking place via Zoom chat. I was sent an invitation via Zoom (the zoom link was legitimate as I did check it before clicking it), Ann has sent a previous email stating I would be meeting with "Robert" and to check for the invitation. The "invitation" was a simple message sent from Robert using Zoom Workplace that said "Hi". What proceeded was a very awkward "chat interview" which I concluded only partway through as I came across this message.

There were definitely more Red Flags, the website park85realty isn't finished as many of the links go nowhere. Also, for a realty company their site had very low listings. Then the biggest red flag was to even view their career page you fill out a questionnaire AND they want your SSN, just to VIEW the career page. Nope...BIG RED FLAG.

Similarly to the person who already posted, I was contacted by someone claiming to be the CEO for a job I never applied to, but was similar to other jobs I’ve applied to. They asked for my email (even though they had already emailed me) to set up a zoom interview.

I recently received an email invitation for a job interview from someone called John West who claimed to be the HR Manager for a company called Park 85 Realty. It was for a position similar to ones I have been applying to recently. The interview was conducted entirely over Zoom, though oddly enough it was not a video call. The interviewer merely asked questions via the chat function, which I found a bit unusual. I have never had an interview be conducted in this manner prior to this experience. I was then sent a link to a job application on the Park 85 Realty website. However, it was asking for information such as my Social Security Number and Driver's License data, which tipped me off to the scam. Generally, you are not asked for this information by a potential employer until a job offer has been extended and accepted.

I received an email inviting me to interview for a position very similar to many that I have applied for recently. It had a job description and website attached and it came from the name John West under an HR email address. The email asked for times I could meet via Zoom and then asked to connect with me via Zoom so they could set up a meeting. After looking into the company more they had almost no online presence and what they did have was very suspect. No LinkedIn account, couldn't find any record of the person who allegedly was emailing me, and their website was very bare bones. Their facebook account only had posts about how they were "massively hiring" and the one account they were following was another presumably fake realty account with the exact same postings. I also looked back at all the jobs I applied to and found that this was not one of them, although the position was similar to what I have been applying for. They didn't ask for any personal information other than my Zoom email account to connect, but I assume that would have come later if I had gone through with the interview.
