OnShelf Decor canceled my order when I wouldn't waive buyer protection
Timeline:
Ordered item from OnShelfDecor.com 1/6/26 with advertised 8-week Buyer Protection Program
Item was not delivered within 8 weeks
Contacted company for update via [email protected]
Company stated they would only deliver if I waived my Buyer Protection rights
I declined and requested delivery
Company canceled my order instead
Key Concern:
The company advertises a Buyer Protection Program but appears to avoid honoring it by refusing delivery unless customers waive their rights. When I did not agree, they canceled the order rather than fulfilling it.
Outcome:
Order was never delivered. Refund was issued only after cancellation.
This conduct appears to be an unfair and deceptive business practice, as the company advertised a consumer protection policy and then refused to honor it by conditioning fulfillment on waiving those rights and canceling the transaction to avoid its obligations. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate action be taken to address these practices.
