We received an email that appeared to be from Norton. It stated thank you for your recent order. Charging us $450.87 for two year virus renewal protection. We never had this or authorized this. I click on it. I responded that we did not authorize. We would take steps to report it as a scam. The persons name that sent it is Elmeran Sourus. I usually don't click on. I thought possibly my husband ordered this.

The company posed as Norton antivirus and remotely got on the computer. They are not affiliated with Norton. Called and the company was rude and was not able to identify services or account. They were not able to identify their roles with the company. The credit card would not allow the dispute. They do not have a valid address on website nor proper associates with the company.

Received an email about norton lifelock will automatically be renewed unless i call to cancel the subscription. they wanted to have access to my computer and then open up my bank account on the same computer to receive a refund link.

Sent a fake email about a fake Norton charge presumably to try and get me to call so they could gain access to my accounts or information

- Rockford, IL, USA

I received an email say that NORTON was charging my account for $399.00. I called the number on email and talked to person who said they would return my money. Through the process, they supposed return to my account 4000 by mistake. I was to go to Walmart or other place that has credit/cash cards and get $3,500 in cards to return the money. They had a fake page of my bank with the image of the money in my account. I had to do it today or he would lose his job, my account would be frozen, or I would have to pay taxes on this money. He said I had to stay on the phone and go immediately and get these cards to return the $3500 they had supposedly accidently give me. I went instead to my bank and checked my account. No $4000 in my account. I hung up on them. I changed all my passwords and ran malware on my computer to hopefully keep me from having any more issues with these thieves.

Note I did not use the email the sammers sent to me, o establishes my account. that's how I knew to research further and know it was a scam.

Was emailed saying my Norton anti-virus subscription would be expiring. After a few of these emails received one that said it would be automatically renewed at $499. Said that it would be deducted from my account and to phone to cancel. I did not phone as I know I do not have this service as well as the fact that the Norton name was used multiple times with other company names - Norton Life Lock, Norton IN Best Buy, etc. Email address was hidden as #Receipt Details#.

I called the phone listed on the invoice and he told me if I didn't believe I had requested this service I could hang up the phone but I would be charged anyway.

It was for Network Security - Auto Renewal 3 Years subscription

for the cost of $358.99

In a email Scamer use Norton saying that $260.38 would taken out of my bank account for a year of service. So I called to cancel that transaction. There was a number in the email. Then scamer had me download three diffrent apps (anydesk, cash app, remity) reassuring that it was not a scam but had to do this to get my refund. An how would they have my info if it was a scam. They had my last 4 numbers of debt card, email and phone number. On cash app scamer use a name I didn't know to transfer ($300) money it didn't works. So then had me use Remity app he had me take a picture of drivers license and a selfie also tryed to transfer ($300) and ($30) two different transaction. Any desk app is how they see what u are typing on these apps because he would tell me exactly what was on my screen when in the apps. So they got drivers license info and some bank info.

I have been receiving bogus invoices & phone calls on behalf of Norton. They say they've already processed the transaction through my bank, but I haven't had a transaction from Nortons. They try asking for my account information eluding to them needing my information to process payment.

I received an email saying I was charged for services. I did not purchase nor request these services. I tried to call the number provided to cancel that charge. No one answered the phone. I emailed back to cancel immediately but I received no response to my email. My card had not actually been charged and I will not be reaching out to them anymore because I am well aware this is a scam.

I received email billed $375 6/1/22 for Norton. Included contact 888-526-8538 to get cancelled. Male w/ Middle Eastern accent said name Robert William asked me to use remote access system and enter bank name to process refund. He insisted must do within 1-2 minutes or money not retrievable. He tried to persuade me over 50 minutes. I hung up and called my bank for fraud alert. Bank said no money was taken, turned off online banking. I rebooted and ran my Mcafee antivirus for security.

Scam emailed today from Norton saying they will take out from my credit card 499.00,I do not have Norton.

I NEVER PURCHASED OR ANY SUCH THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME BUT THEY ARE CHARGING $499.00 plus $60? More for some other charges! BELOW IS THE EXACT TEXT MESSAGE!!!!

THATS SCAMMERS!!!!!

Reporting a Norton antivirus scam whereby the scammer appears to have screenshot a legit companies ad, attached a link that led to an unsecure website, and sent out the ad as a sort of click bait/harassment/device hacking scam. The ad claimed I needed to renew my norton antivirus product. I do not have norton antivirus products. The email was unwanted and originated from email address: [email protected] The email had a link at the top of it that led to an unsecure webpage: http://kingstonmaly.net/rd/c13093EYnJj24530081DIbY17HNb119771QvoN110
