I was unaware this was illegal until recently, but in April of 2023 I was admittedly desperate for a job. I was contacted by Dr. Gilbert for an “observational interview.” I came in and worked a full shift for them, doing housekeeping duties and small talk with clients. I was told at the end of the day they would be calling me the next Monday to let me know their decision. As time went by with no word, I sent a follow up and still never received a response. I still have never heard from them. They got a full shift of free labor from me and couldn’t even be bothered to tell me I didn’t meet their expectations.
