Received a card that has already been used. (Unopened) I called MYGIFT.GIFTCARDMALL.COM two weeks ago. They said they would send another one but now they want my personal information like bank statements and utility bills for a dispute case. Scam

WENT TO MY LOCAL SHOPRITE IN WYKCOFF NJ AND PURCHASED A VISA GIFT CARD FOR $200 ON 11/24/23. WENT HOME TO ACTIVATE IT AND SAW A ZERO BALANCE. CALLED SHOPRITE AND THEY SAID IT CAN TAKE UP TO 36 HOURS FOR YOUR MONEY TO BE LOADED ON THE CARD. SHE SAID IT SHOULD SAY THAT ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR RECEIPT. SO I LOOKED AND YES IT DID SAY THAT. SO THE NEXT DAY ON 11/25/23 I WENT BACK ONLINE TO ACTIVATE THE CARD AND I SAW THE PURCHASE OF THE CARD FOR $200 AND RIGHT BELOW IT I SAW A DEBIT OF $200 WHICH I DID NOT MAKE FROM STAX *CREATIVE REAL, NEW BRUNSWICK 34 08901 US. I CALLED THE TELEPHONE # ON THE BACK OF THE CARD AND EXPLAINED TO THE AGENT THE ABOVE. HE SENT ME FORMS TO FILL OUT AND COPIES OF ALL RECEIPTS AND THE ACTUAL CARD FRONT AND BACK WHICH I DID AND SENT THEM TO HIM VIA EMAIL AND HE SAID THEY RECEIVED EVERYTHING NECESSARY IN ORDER TO PROCESS THIS DISPUTE AND IT COULD TAKE FROM 30 - 90 DAYS BEFORE I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO GIVE THE VENDOR A CHANCE TO REPLY? DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND THAT THEIR WEBSITE IS HACKED? THEREFORE I'M OUT THE MONEY AND WOULD HOPE THEY WILL SEND ME A NEW CARD OR A CHECK FOR $200? JUST HORRIBLE , I WILL NEVER BUY A GIFT CARD AGAIN!!! THEY GAVE ME A CASE #- DS-0604895, THEIR TELEPHONE # IS 1-888-244-5705. SO AS OF TODAY I HAVE HEARD NOTHING? I EMAILED THEM AND THEY EMAIL ME BACK SAYING IT HAS NOT BEEN 30 DAYS, AND USUALLY GETS RESOLVED IN 30- 60 DAYS AND SOMETIMES UP TO 90 DAYS? THIS IS THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS: [email protected]. I HOPE AND PRAY I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK? THANK YOU
