I received an unsolicited text message about a potential job. Then, I received another at the end of the day saying they are recruiters for a company called MVM. I looked up MVM and there are 2 companies using MVM. All I had to do was answer one text with one word "yes" and later that evening, I received an alert someone tried to get into my Google account but was stopped by 2 factor authentication. I was advised to change my password immediately. I did not click any links on my pc, but manually went into Google Security Settings and made the change. How does someone who needs to find a job do so without getting scammed? Is there a website/trusted recruiter we can go to to upload our resume? Indeed had this job posted, so they do not prevent scammers, or are fooled by them.
