I was contacted by a person who claimed to be an officer from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office on the phone and said that I had missed a summons to court for Jury Duty. He said I had signed an official paper from someone who had come to my house. When I denied this, he asked if I would go to the Sheriff's office for a calligraphy test. When I told him I would call the sheriff's office, someone from the sheriff's office line called and claimed I was already talking to one of his officers. The number matched the sheriff's office number in Multnomah County. After hanging up, I called the sheriff's office, and they told me it was a scam and that they get about 20 calls a day from other folks who are experiencing the same scam.
