Employment verification call from MQW raises concerns

Woman called stating she was from MQW and said she was calling for employment verification on one of our employees. I told her that require the request in writing and refused to give her information over the phone. I provided an email address for her request but have not received an additional request.

Received a suspicious call at work asking for my mother

I received a phone call at work asking for my coworker. This coworker is also my mother, so I asked what the call was regarding but was told it was a personal matter asking to leave a message. She told me to have her call some 844 number, and when I asked what company she was with she told me she was with MQW. I had a feeling everything about this call was wrong, and when I googled the company it was confirmed it was a scam.
