Monteza Store Reports & Reviews (29)

I actually heard about Monteza on accident of Palmpe, who gave me 3 products of my choosing for agreeing to be their ambassador. All I had to do was pay for shipping and of course that being a set number of 21 or so when they first told me. Apparently that number fluctuates and they have deciding factors over the cost of shipping because a month later when I finally agreed, the number was now $23.99 for the 3 free products. I was hesitant because being from California and a reseller myself, I knew that that was not an accurate number unless they were expressing me my parcel. Deciding to move forward with it since supposedly all future products would come completely free, I did and that wait time was anything but express. At most, I should’ve been charged at most $9 for that shipping! To make matters worse, when the package arrives, the shipping fee is actually like $22 less then what I was made to pay and the advertising company was actually not Palmpé, but a brand I had never heard of named Monteza. Within the Palmpé packaging, the 3 correct pieces, and a promised gift card of $20 for another product of my choosing, but not to Palmpé. The card was to some shop named Monteza and alongside a welcome to the “Monteza Ambassador Program” stock card that had my supposed next directives. Confusing turnaround I must say.
So not only was the shipping cost over priced and exaggerated, and aside from its odd fluctuations in charged, I was now a witness to brand misrepresentation. This 1 act of uncareful packaging between Palmpé and Monteza destroyed the integrity of the shipping & handling scam had not.
A scam that they and many other brands utilizing an ambassador program use as for their marketing, charging you, the influencer between $12 and even a steep $75 depending on the amount of items chosen. The scam is that the items therefor are not free, added unto the actual shipping are modifiable charges that the brand actually received as revenue for them.
This is the opposite of good business, it is false claims that can only conceive false advertising from its ambassadors and built behind a brand lacking of integrity. A brand that has no regard for their consumers and in fact have only begun using the ambassadors, not to lift up the face or brand of any individual but as unpaid employees working on quid pro quo. These company’s are offering false shipping cost amounts and are not stating actual prices that they pay for sending their products to us. This makes company’s like Palmpé and Monteza liars.
Since beginning to accept the various offers to influence as a brand ambassador I know now I have wasted hundreds of dollars on these shipping costs to gain “free product” and exposure. Even worse, with some of the brands, admittedly I agreed to pay “discounted” ambassador prices... but even with free shipping and all future products supposedly free... I have totally set myself up as yet another online scam victim. Some products I never even received and some, like with Palmpé/Monteza, with products that are so cheaply made it’s nearly embarrassing to wear. Luckily I hobby as a jewelry refurbisher because both of my necklaces were so poorly made I had to basically fix them to get them anywhere near the advertised pictures of them. 1 being better suited to a young child, even tight on my skinny neck.
Palmpe so far is 1 of the worst in that when I received my package sent with the Monteza welcoming and coupon cards. I’m left to believe, I guess, that they share warehouses and employees. Looking into Monteza, it seems they share product as well. As do, upon research, many of the insta brands that are pushing their ambassador programs. Monteza and many other brands are not only scammers, but unoriginal brands in that they literally all sale the same product each claiming it as their own. The product is cheaply made and can be found in little Saigon here in Orange County, California for 95% less the cost, once you see the quality it is sadly obvious.
That being said...
Nothing but love for the influencer cheerleaders out there, I pray only fortunate endeavors for you and your following. As for me, I got me a haul of products from company’s that make my whistle blowing lips drippin to join the other exposing explosives.
For those that didn’t quite catch what I threw out, best of luck and hopes of integrity for all of us! #whistleblower #gimmiebackmymoney #scamvictim #screenshoteverything #ilovehashtagging

Thank you so much! I just got the same exact offer (3 pieces of free jewelry, plus a life time discount code and a chance to enter their ambassador vacation sweepstakes+$100 gift card?!) Haha The more they kept listing, the more I got suspicious of them.
Thanks for the detailed warning!

Hi there,

I just want to say, thanks so much for your insight!

I also received this exact Instagram ambassador spiel from Monteza (although they were not posing as another business, it was via a Monteza scout/representative).

The "three free items" seemed intriguing, but after checking out their website (with absolutely no product descriptions, questionable product photography, and very clear bot-written reviews with almost-no negative remarks), and also searching through their Instagram page for comments with "real-person" reviews...I couldn't find much. Looks like they fish out the negative pretty well.

I was also told to choose 3 items, and I'd only have to pay shipping, with the rest of the perks later on. I tallied it all up on their site, and 3 necklaces (coming to $89.97 USD , and discounted to $0) would give me a shipping total of the $23.87USD, similar to what you mentioned above. Curious, because I live in Canada, and you mentioned you live in California?

Although $23+ seems not too bad for 3 necklaces, your mentioning of the cheap quality of the product is concerning.

It's a bit funny, because the Monteza rep who reached out to me with the offer told me this – and I quote: "Our jewelries are made of quick quality materials such as silver and gold-plated Hypoallergenic Sterling metals, dear. Hypoallergenic jewelries are created using components made from metals that contains little to no potentially irritating alloys."

I also notice these scammers always seem to throw in too many pet names like "dear" and "sweetie"...Red flags!

After reading your post, I am choosing not to move forward with this purchase.

Thanks for sharing your very similar experience to mine.

Best,

– Caroline.

This company messaged me on Instagram asking if I wanted to be an ambassador for them and receive FREE product (jewelry). I went on with it and saw that the shipping fee was $21.99. I thought that seemed high but they said it would cover all the shipping for future free products that they would send me as well. I proceeded to go through with the transaction.

Once I did a bit more research, I decided I wanted to cancel my order and receive a refund. They messaged me back saying "we don't issue refunds for invalid reasons" and then I checked their return policy. This is part of it:

A.2 Instances that we CANNOT cancel/refund;

- The order hasn't been delivered due to incomplete or incorrect shipping information provided.

- Used wrong credit/debit cards in purchasing.

- A sudden change of mind.

- Wrong purchase.

- Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

They are guising their scam as an "ambassador program" to take advantage of young girls on Instagram who wish to be ambassadors and influencers.

I paid shipping costs for three of their jewelry. When they arrived, with packaging from China I realized that the products were the same, of the same quality as those I had previously purchased from Wish. Com. I asked them for explanations, sending photos of the products from the original site with the original cost and they answered me in an evasive way, telling me that if I was not happy with the items I could ask for a full refund. So I did, but to date they haven't responded to my message, of course. The important thing is not to advertise their products on the instagram profile and anywhere, and report the site to the postal police. Girls, don't fall on this! these are selling low quality stuff by charging the price in a crazy way!

+13

Well I received the products from Monteza although it got a little delayed but still it arrived and I think that the shipping fee was all worth it cuz it looks good in person although its not made of real gold it really does look good

+6

How long until it arrived? It been about 6 weeks and nothing has arrived... I want to call my bank at this point.

Ah [censored]. I agreed and paid for the shipping out of impulse.. It is a scam now I'm really worried. Did I waste my money?

This is a scam. Also, notice how everyone who LOVES Monteza is an employee? They literally will reach out to anyone to be an ‘ambassador’ as a way to get people to buy product from them. Their products are cheap, often bought in bulk from AliExpress and then resold at a higher price. Look how many other scams follow the same pattern: “it’s free, just pay shipping!”

Also, their ‘phone number’ listed is invalid, their return policy is sketchy, as they lost a ton of other nonsensical items, showing that the creator of the site just copy and pasted it from elsewhere.

Save your money.

If you want the same cheap jewelry for it’s original cost, buy it on AliExpress, just like they do.

Hi I'm Maria Victoria de Gracia from Spain. When I'm checking through my mails I receive a message from Nailea.Mtza saying she's one of their Brand Manager and looking for Brand Ambassador to promote Monteza. At first I was hesitate to use my debit card on their account maybe they will hack it. Unfortunately she explained too me that their website has double protection. Furthermore, I was a impatient person it was around 1 and half month I didn't receive my package and I yelled at her with spam chats, she replied to me calmly. After 2 months and half of waiting I receive my package beautifully ?. My sister and mom liked the item I receive from Monteza ?. So they order and use my code. After their order, I receive an email from Monteza that they will send me another items within paying anything like omg I didn't expect this. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH MONTEZA I LOVE YOU. DON'T LET HATERS DAMAGE YOUR BRAND.

DE POTA HATERS?

+22

HAHAHA HATERS GONNA HATE! IF THEY DON'T LIKE THE PRODUCTS THEN DON'T BUY ANY OF THE PRODUCT. SIMPLE AS THAT❣️

I had never been contacted about an ambassador position before, so when Mónteza contacted me I was EXTREMELY excited! They were very friendly and informative, as I had a lot of questions. It's quite simple for me: they gave me a chance to become influencer on social media even thout I had only 87 followers. Since March I grew up to 2398 followers and my engagement is much better, like about 100+ likes per post! Now I have other brands contacting me for micro influencer jobs. On top of that you get paid everytime you refer someone. It can be a member of your family, a friend, anyone. I also like that they reward me everytime I make some sales I get to receive a complimentary jewelry. Hopefully they'll give me the chance to pursue with them another year.

I’m sorry but what is your account cuz i need to have some proof

This company reached out to me claiming to be offering an opportunity to become one of their brand ambassadors in exchange for free jewelry, via Instagram direct messaging. This seemed unusual to me as I only had a small Instagram account, with only a few photos of me on it, most of it was of nature - an odd choice for a jewelry company. The catch seems to be that you are expected to pay for the shipping. They also explicitly stated that there was no contract, which to me seemed suspicious as that almost always benefits the company, not the freelancer. Once I responded to the Instagram direct message, I was flooded with responses from the supposed "Brand Manager". Again, strangely eager. When I said "I think this is a scam", they responded with a stock message about "understanding my hesitations", even though I had directly accused them of being a scam and using classic "brand ambassador" scam tactics. I imagine a real brand would take great exception to being called a scam and simply stop messaging that potential ambassador - they didn't seem to mind at all. I hope others have not been caught up in this, as even after I searched the internet for information on whether this was a legit opportunity or a scam, nothing came up. I can see how enticing this is. Thanks for your help.

Hi! Based on my experience, Monteza is 100% legit. Tbh, the brand managers doesn't care if you're famous or not, important thing is you can afford the shipping fee which you'll only have to pay ONCE. Once you're an official ambassador, everything's free that's why i love it.
Just its downside is they have too many brand managers, some of them are dumb and some of them are very professional.

+20

Except the fact that when the packages arrive, you notice that the shipping fee is literally only a dollar for the entire package whereas palmpe and monteza and many other brands that utilize an ambassador program for their marketing, charge you between 15 and up to even a steep 50 depending on the amount of items you purchase. That is the opposite of legit, that is an actual false claim and the company’s offering the false claims lack integrity. I have literally just begun receiving ambassador products from several brands. Unfortunately showing myself that I didn’t use very good money ethics in the wasting of hundreds of dollars on “shipping costs” to gain “free product” or worse, with some of the brands, agreeing to pay at a “discounted” ambassador price... totally setting up myself as yet another brand scam victim. Palmpe so far is 1 of the worst in that when I received my package it was sent with a Monteza welcoming and coupon card. I guess that they share warehouses and employees. Looking into Monteza, it seems they share product as well. As do, upon research, many of the insta brands that are pushing their ambassadors program. I am one of the brand ambassadors of monteza and they sent me really good items. I love it ?

I was contacted also from one of the Brand Manager of the said Brand and she is so kind to me and very accommodating as well. Their collections are quite fascinating and it's very girly, so i decided to push this offer since it's very one of a kind opportunity. I really don't think they are capable of doing such fraud towards others because they got a lot of positive feedbacks. However, there are some people who's trying to destroy their reputation and it really dissapoints me a lot. I am also one of the Ambassador at this prestigious Brand and my reputation will also affect as well just because of some people who does not have a comprehension to understand. To all the commentators out there, you better REVIEW your statement first before you decide to do some stuff that can try to ruin the goodwill of the company. God bless Monteza! I am very proud to say that i am part of your family. ?

+23

monteza.rean also sent me a message regarding their offer, and the official account really answered my concerns. I'm glad to be working with them. Already got my jewelries, it really has a good quality and suitable for any events. ?

I don't think they are scam. They take good care of me as their ambassador, I suggest you ask the official account for the legitimacy of the brand managaer so you will not fall to someone faking accounts acting as monteza's brand manager.

+24

Hi! monteza.julie also reached out to me. I was skeptical at first and asked her to explain to me in a more detailed way. She told me everything I need to know. I also asked her if the jewelries are real because I am allergic to some metals. She has told me that it is made of high-quality silver and is gold-plated hypoallergenic materials. It enlightened me. After some time, when I received the products, it is of good quality and my allergies didn't react. I can say that the company is legit and it just depends on the manager if he is a fraud or not.

+21

The product was very pretty, i thought for a while that i won't receive my items and it is just a scam but i just received it! I was hesitant because despite the product being free, but you need to pay for the postage. I was happy because what i receive is really worth it! Thank you again Monteza, i would also like that they answers all of my concerns and questions.

+18

I received a message from @monteza.hera (A Brand Manager), i was so happy when the product arrived! It is classy and minimalist which i like the most, you can wear it in any outfits, i highly recommended their necklaces. Thank you for reaching out to me ?

+15

I don't think they are a scam they are just a starting company and they can't control all of their managers maybe that's why but their official account really answered my questions

+12

monteza.shelani also reached out to me and I already received their items although they are not real gold and silver they are really good quality items

+14

Hello, i’m from Russia. @monteza.chaselie suggested me to be an ambassador of Monteza too.
So, i have ~900 followers on instagram page and i know many scam incidents with fake jewelry when these kind of brands suggest to cooperate with them. They deliberately choose unpopular accounts so that in case of negative reviews (and such will be in any case due to low-quality goods), their company will not suffer much. In conclusion, I am sure that this is a fake company, do not be fooled by it!

+17

they choose unpopular accounts because popular accounts are demanding and often turns out the offer. it’s also for smaller accounts to have more exposure and gain more followers.

@monteza.dylan reached out to me on instagram saying they think I have good model potential and I should become their brand ambassador.

She claims it is a French jewelry line. Nothing about being french on the website. So they target you, they saw I was French on my profile.

Then they tell you you need to buy 3 jewels from them, they are free but you need to pay for the postage.

Everything on the website shows it is a scam:

- The phone number listed is invalid: 1 202-852-6814

- Nothing about the brand

- Reviews of the purchases show often the product is not delivered

- the refund policy is not matching with jewelry : "Returns Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

Gift cards

Downloadable software products

Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

Book with obvious signs of use

CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

I chatted with @monteza.dylan on instagram and she acts like everything is normal.

Private1576986532,

I was mad of your opinion about the refund system. I don't care who the [censored] is Mónteza and who the [censored] is Dylan y'all know that if you want refund you should give back to the manufacturer the items. Please don't brain wash these people for not giving back the items!...

I have a small business in Chicago I'm not here to promote my business to y'all, I know how it feels that a customer wanted a refund but never gave the item back like wtf b****h. I can relate to you sometimes, I bought something on Alibaba for wholesale some products has damage
not because of the manufacturer but to the courier also. I am not here to promote scam but to be fair you know b****h... If that's their policy respect it! just like Amazon's policy! If the Alibaba give me some lacking items and damage one's then I should call them scam? No b****h they are also a human that do mistakes. Maybe she's acting normal to give you a best customer service... It's ugly when the Manager will also mad and it's not good for their image.
Not being rude but tbh you are a very narcissistic and a self-centred person af. Ofc the attitude of white people cannot blame...Btw, are you perfect? Cause I'm not. Sorry but not sorry.

Hello, I'm from California. One of their Brand Manager reached out to me too... So I told her that if it's not 100% silver I will not accept the offer because I have sensitive skin especially to plated silver and gold. She replied and apologize that their product is not 100% real that it's plated silver... She also explain to me well about their company..

To conclude the company legit but it really depend on the Brand Manager if he is scamming or not.
