On the Mira Wholesale website, I ordered 10 tubs of baby formula on Oct 3, 2022. I asked them via their website chat, if the items were in stock. They responded yes, so I proceeded to pay them $301.90 via Zelle thru my bank. Big mistake. It was strange that the Zelle payment was made to [email protected]. Once the transfer was made they acknowledged payment via email and indicated that I would be contacted by the courier for delivery. I was contacted by courier Finexline on Oct 4 via email that the shipment was in pre-shipment process. On Oct 5, I got an email from Finexline that my shipment was being held because it was coming from Canada and needed insurance coverage before they could ship. They indicated that the cost of insurance is $200.01 with 90% returned upon delivery of the product. I emailed Mira Wholesale indicating that I was not aware (not on website or order form) of needing insurance or the fee. They emailed back saying they are sorry but the fee needed paid. I used their live chat and emailed them back on October 5 to cancel my order and requested a full refund promptly. Mira Wholesale said they would get back to me. No response via email, live chat, phone or refund. I contacted Finexline via email regarding my shipment and next step. Finexline responded back saying to make payment via Zelle for the $200.01 insurance to receive shipment. I responded back by indicating I prefer credit card to see if they were serious. No response back. I did not make a cash or credit card payment to Finexline. No product was ever received.

Obvious scam by Mira Wholesale and Finexline. I did some further review of the Mira Wholesale and Finexline websites. There are some obvious spelling errors and suspicious claims I have tried to call Mira Wholesale at 424-296-0661 (contact number from their website) but all I get is a recorded message referring me to their website. Their website has a chat feature which they respond to but no name. Called Finexline but only recorded message. Left a message but no return call. Finexline website identifies 1234 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017 as their business address. That is an upscale apartment building. Mira Wholesale indicates their business address as 900 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017. That is an upscale hotel/office/retail building. They are not listed as a tenant.

I made a big mistake by using Zelle to transfer cash payment. I would like a full refund but not likely. Most importantly want to stop anyone else especially young families seeking scarce baby formula and being scammed.
