On Monday, April 18, 2016, 10:05 am, my son answered a phone call from 315-681-2614. A man, with a foreign accent, claimed to be with Microsoft representative. He told my son that due to new viruses attacking computers, our computers needed to be protected....blah, blah, blah. He coached my son through some steps. It was only when the man mentioned money, that my son realized what was happening, and hung up the phone. My son immediately took his computer to a computer repair company for damage control. My son notified me, and I've been cancelling credit cards and securing bank accounts. We will be monitoring all accounts as best we can. I looked up the phone number 315-681-2614, and this number showed to be associated with a company known as: Telcove Atlantic Inc. in Syracuse, NY in Onondaga County. As of right now, we are unaware of any money being stolen.
