Googled a part we were looking for. Found it in stock at the scammer's website. Reached out to the company via their website. A response was received back by an Andy Lee from the company, he provide a quote. My colleague requested a proforma invoice from Andy Lee. Andy responded by saying "Regarding payment, please note that for our first cooperation, we require payment by T/T in advance. We only accept bank transfers." I requested their bank information and also a W9. Andy provided a proforma invoice along with the bank information. "CitiBank (Hong Kong) Limited was the bank name. Our accounting verified the bank info. A purchase order was sent to Andy Lee. He was communicating all along. After the Thanksgiving holiday on 12/2/24, Andy sent an email to stop payment to the original bank he had provided. He continued with saying "Our bank has randomly selected bank accounts for review, and unfortunately, our company account was chosen. As a result, we are required to submit additional information for review, which may take up to a month to complete. Consequently, we are unable to receive bank transfers during this period. However, we do have a sister company's bank account that is able to accept bank transfers." He provided the sister bank's company info. "DBS BANK (HONG KONG) LIMITED" was the new bank name. 12/6 the bank transfer was initiated and then cleared on 12/9. 12/10 Andy responded thanking us for the payment and that he would check with his accounting and arrange shipment once the payment is received. 12/16 we followed up with Andy on status. Andy responded that they had not received the payment yet and if we could double check on our end. Our accounting department responded to Andy assuring him that the payment had cleared and provided a screenshot of the cleared transaction. Andy responded with "Thanks for your respond.
Please note the items are in our supplier's stock now, just need 2-3 days lead time to arrive our warehouse, after we ship out the items, you will receive them in about 2-3 days.
I will send you the tracking number for your reference. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me." That was the last time we heard from Andy on 12/16. We followed up ever since. Tried calling him and the phone number doesn't work anymore and no responses via email. We were scammed.

We requested a price on some electrical components for our manufacturing plant. Andy Lee replied with a price on the components and we accepted the pricing. He sent over a Proforma invoice which is usual with vendors in China. I make the international payment and cannot reach anyone by email or phone.
