I was not aware of this type of scam and went down a rabbit hole due to a facebook add that popped in my feed. Clicked on it and was taken to a site that is hosting auctions for "assets" these assets being cars, boats, heavy equipment, travel trailers etc. All have bidding and buy it now proccess that as you would expect seem amazinging. Got caught up in this but finally it felt scammy enough that I didn't 100% fall for it. For starters, here is the site in question, it is called "VMapreposassets, LLC ". The website URL is actually MAPPROTECTION.com which makes zero sense when you think about it. The site is pretty well put together has great pictures etc. It outlines the process to win one of these auctions. Payment, is ONLY done by bank wire transfer. Has a US phone number and address based out of South Carolina. The phone number did have a human that answered when I called. Its is a VOIP. Found exact images of some cars they were using on other sites. I did "win" an auction and was sent an invoice to wire my payment which is another LLC that was just registered 2 weeks ago on November 4th.

The car I was interested I actually found at the dealer website via an image search for 60K

As far as trying to research VMapreposassets, I found many forums of people discussing their positive experiences with this company, all of which appeared to be "spoofed" forums" All was very convincing but it still felt, off.
