I got scammed $,7150

I don't even know where to begin. I am so so disappointed in myself for falling for her scam. I purchased a "Super Bowl" package and a "Hawaii Trip" She said she would return my money, I even spoke on phone, she was in hospital and blah blah blah. She took $7,150.00 Let's just say my kids had a [censored]ty Christmas. No Hawaii trip and no dream super bowl trip. Vida does not care. Please go to your local police department and file a police report. Or call Shantell who is on this page. But please, DO NOT give up. We all have to move forward with criminal charges against her and her crew for stealing hundreds and thousands of dollars.

Omg she did the same to me.. and we know the same people from the same church.. she goes to Victory Out reach and Newlife Oxnard ♥️ her parents are evangelicals for the church, and they have gained so much from her earnings.

Very disappointed, I wanted to believe she was really a good person! I hope the same mercy she has shown other God will show her! I bought a vacation package from her. I even spoke with her on the phone and she had the audacity to tell me she would never scam anyone! Well she did to me! I asked her a for a refund and she said yes she would, and the y never answer my text and told me she was sick in the hospital and had trouble with her zelle told me she would give me another package, she messaged me again to tell me she was going through chemo now and I told her can you please just refund the money and you could only imagine all the lies she feed me. I hope everyone is able to get their money back

In September 2023, I was in contact with Vida regarding a vacation package she had posted. Since it was a great deal and I know Vida through a relative, I trusted her and decided to go for it and Zelled Vida the monies. It was supposed to be a surprise Christmas gift for my kids. In the weeks after, Vida did communicate with me and when I requested a time period of dates, she stopped responding. I did see she posted she was in the hospital, she I decided to give her some time to respond. After a few weeks, I messaged her again to no avail. I tried calling her via IG and no answer. I think texted her at 805-815-5448 and the message showed delivered, but no response back. I then called her at that number and no answer. I then went online and found out there were multiple people scammed as well. I filed a report regarding this incident as well.

The same situation happened to me. We have people in common and we know people in the same church. She did not care about misleading and hurting families. I hope she gets whatever is coming her way May God

SCAMMER BEWARE

Vida is a scammer. She scammed me out of 3k. Promised me tickets to raiders game and never came through. Also scammed people out of Disneyland tickets. More raiders games totaling 33k. Please reach out to me as we would like to file lawsuits in different states and criminal charges as well.

I paid Vida $340 on 1/20 to provide hair and makeup for my nieces Quinceañera. The DAY BEFORE my nieces event (3/19) Vida canceled due to an emergency. I 100% understood, and was able to find another artist. The issue that we are now having is the refund. My sister and I have asked at least 20 times for a refund. Finally, on (4/7) she sends us $250, but where is the other $90? At this point I've considered this a loss, so here I am to warn others.

You should definitely consider suing this person. She has scammed hundreds of people in Ventura county for years now, I’m not sure why she isn’t in jail yet! I’m sorry this happened to you. As a makeup artist amongst others we’ve heard these stories of her scamming people for years. I think it’s time you all take legal matters immediately or else this will continue.

i had contacted vida garay on January 17th 2019 to book her for an event i had on March 16th she required a 50% deposit and because she was doing hair and makeup for my mom , my sister and i the deposit came out to 165 dollars including the 45 dollar travel fee i sent her the money Friday January 18th 2019 we set up times about a month later in February , I texted her march 4th to make sure we were still on the same page for the appointment she said and i quote "hello yes we will be there" a week later March 14th TWO days before the event and i quote "hi jacky hope all is well. unfortunately i am very sick and ive been in the hospital and i don't think ill be released by this weekend. i apologize for such inconvenience . will be sending back refund of that deposit portion that you paid. again i apologize" and of course me and my family felt bad so i told her to feel better and asked her when was the soonest she could send me back my deposit i texted her again on the 19th because she didnt respond and i told her i needed my money and she did not respond until the 27th of march that she would sent over the deposit over the weekend Thursday April 4th i texted her and told her i had not received the money still no response i texted her again April 9th still no response 3 weeks pass April 11th and i texted her again and still no response she texted me back April 17th now a whole month after the event saying "hello sorry ive been in the hospital and had 2 surgeries i usually don't have my phone on me i think my husband sent it already" witch he did not and i told her that she didn't respond April 30th came around and still no responds since April 30th have sent her over 15 text messages and still to Thursday i have not received my money back sept.9th 2019 ,i contacted my hair dresser recently and asked if she knew about her she responded to and told me she has scammed over 100 women including myself for years and probably still is to this day i read her reviews on yelp and she tells everyone the same story and cancels on them before there events shes ruined multiple wedding days because of what she does to people i reported her on yelp with screenshot messages of our conversation if you would like to see them her yelp is Makeup by Vida she is located in ventura ca on 516 N A st, Oxnard CA 93030 i would love if you guys could help me in any sort of way to get my money and stop her from doing this to women thank you- jacqueline ruiz
