Type of a scam: Online Purchase

The person you speak to has a Chinese accent which is difficult to understand but clever to use this person to throw you off. Then they say they still have the puppy you saw on their website, which I thought was strange and a red flag since all the puppies are way to cute to be available after a few days went by from initial contact. Then when asked to see photos of the parents, they send over dog photos that look way to big to be Italian greyhounds...and different colors and 3 different ages even though they claim to have only 3 dogs, 2 females and 1 male. Then they act insulted that I asked and made them feel untrusted so they say they will not sell the puppy to me. Which is this is their game. So then, I felt terrible and a paolo fixed and asked if they would reconsider. So he says he will go behind his wife’s back and sell to me anyway and to send a deposit of half the asking price. Red flags everywhere but since I just lost my precious dog 2 weeks ago, I was feeling very depressed and I almost sent money to him via zelle at his request. On the so-called contract, they use Stockton CA animal shelter address and phone number. They don’t answer the calls and use a router to sift messages and will call me back from same number as the Stockton animal shelter. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!
