Received a text from a “Hiring Manager” from Liberty. I had to check across all my career sites to check if I ever applied to mentioned company—I didn’t. I copy &pasted the text into Google to find identical messages sent to other people. I set a time to see if they would send me the same links as other people and it was!

The text read:
Hello ******, this is the Hiring Manager with Liberty! We received your resume and want to interview you via zoom. Available times are this Wednesday at 4:00 pm CST or 5:30 pm CST or this Thursday at 9:00 am CST. Which time works best for you?

I responded:
Which job platform did you post this position on? I can't find a record of it.

They responded:
We actually ran across your resume online and wanted to reach out to you about setting up an interview.

I then asked:
Ah. Which platform did you find my resume on? Could you send me a copy of the job description?

They did not respond after that.

Liberty has texted me from multiple numbers with the exact same message asking to schedule a zoom interview.

I received the exact same text messages from the exact same number and I have attached documentation as well. I hope you guys get these people as it’s hard enough to get a job already and to determine which ones are real and which ones are not.

Hi, I recently got a text from hiring manager at Liberty. I've been looking for a job recently so my resume is everywhere. However, I was suspicious because the company name doesn't match with anything relevant that I would apply for. Liberty is too broad for a company name. Also there was no job description. The text I got is exactly the same as the other one posted. I hate scammers.

I received a text from a "Hiring Manager from Liberty" saying they received my resume and want to schedule an interview; very suspicious as most hiring managers include their name for a contact. Looks like others have received similar - BEWARE.

Received a text message out of nowhere stating it was the hiring manager from "Liberty" they received my resume and wanted to schedule an interview. They gave me a few timeslots too! I did a google search and saw several scam alerts for exactly this wording and job interview scam! BEWARE Everyone!

I received the same text as others saying they had received my resume and wanted to schedule an interview, listing possible times. I had recently uploaded my resume to a couple of different job sites and the name they used was a shortened version of my name that I'd used on the resume. I responded to the text asking for more info about the position and never received a response. A week later I received another text exactly the same as the first, only with a "type STOP to unsubscribe" at the end, which I did. The timing and the name used makes me concerned that one of the job sites I'm using is not protecting my data.

OMG I clicked both links two. One was zoom verification and it was an actual zoom meeting, the other was a jotform asking for name and phone number, nothing else. I'm not sure what to do!

Agreed. These job sites are selling data to each other and to sketchy bodies. I've never had scammy job texts/calls/emails rolling in at this volume before this current job search, most from bodies I never applied to or platforms I never even used.

I actually received the same text message. I did think it was strange but i have sent out so many resumes lately that i thought, oh well. I did click on the 2 links but one was just to check my zoom connection and the other was to click on what location i lived close too. Im not super tech savvy but im hoping that they cant gather any sensitive information that way. What are your thoughts?

Random message when I have no resume posted. I responded with “stop” and it alerted that I was now unsubscribed.

Sunni this is the HrDept with Liberty! We received your resume and want to interview you via phone. Our available times are Wednesday at 5:30 PM CST or Thursday at 10:00 AM or 11:30 AM. Which time works best for you?

I received a text message from Liberty on Sept. 7th and the 29th asking me to pick a good time for a phone interview. The first message stated the HrDept and the second message stated the HR Dept. This may seem insignificant but and reputable company is not only consistent but usually doesnt abbreviate either. Just my thoughts. I asked if they could clarify this opportunity and please include a job title but I have not received a reply.

I received a random text for a job interview. It said "(My Name) this is the HR Dept with Liberty, we received your resume & want to interview you by phone this Thurs at 9:30, 11:30 or 1:30. Which one works best for you?"

I responded with a time that would work and they replied with the following links "https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84763076707" for the interview link and "https://form.jotform.com/210474085714151" for a candidate information sheet. I did not fill out these forms but asked what the job title of the position was and what the full name of the company was so I could confirm the position on the companies website.

They stated that they had several positions to fill including Supervisor, Manager and Team Member but did not provide the full company name. When I asked for the full company name again.....Crickets. Beware all text job interview offers, especially generic ones that don't provide the job title and full company name. The only reason I even responded is that I have applied to some jobs and am waiting on responses.

I receive text just stating they have seen my resume and would like me to text back a time for my interview picked from 3 different times. No information about the company is given other then Liberty as their name. I do not have a resume that is publicly listed where they could get my phone number. I have received several text from this company but have never responded.

I got a call saying I switched electric providers from AEP to Liberty 888-355-6201. I said I didn't switch. He said I had to go to Krogers to buy $900 in gift cards. I said I don't have that kind of money. He said then he had no choice but to turn my electric off.

Gave me a “case number” to reference when I called back. Said they were filing to sue in a county I haven’t lived in in years. We’re calling to “serve notice papers to appear in court”. Wouldn’t give me any information about any debt without my social security number and date of birth. Even went as far as to call my father

The company called my grandma and told her that there was a warrant out for my arrest and I was about to go to jail if she did not pay the amount in full right away. She told them that they needed to contact me but they became very aggressive and kept pressuring her to pay.

They said they file paper work for the la county court They wanted my SS # and birth date so they could get into my file that they couldnt get I to my file unless they had all my personal info
