Scammers impersonating the USPTO to steal money for trademark services
So when the scammers from Lawoffice.net contacted me by name and phone number and proper physical address, and presented their service as a USPTO proper service on USPTO letterhead, it was hard NOT to be fooled and taken in.
This was an intentional fraud as they made the front end of their email address USPTO, using the email [email protected], and they claimed to be representatives from that official governmental agency.
They make persistent phone calls to harass you if you are successful in cancelling the fraudulent transaction. I lost $1500 to them.
They are a new kind of dual track fraudulent scammer, as they set up a purportedly legitimate business from which to receive fraudulently gotten payments.
