On April 2, 2025, I received a call from an unknown caller asking for my husband. I was told there is a judgement against our property, and she was from an agency in Clark County Nevada assigned to notify the party because they had been unable to reach us. I asked her what it was for, and she said it was for a debt owed for 11,000.00. She didn't have the details and told me to call the law firm that was handling the case. The law firm I was given was Kole Robinson and Associates 813-567-4000. She also gave me the case #. In addition to the information she gave, she told me the name of our grown son who the judgement was against and it turned out to be our adult son with the same name as my husband only a different social security number and his name has the second after his, which clearly shows he is not the same as my husband and he is NOT on title to our property that the lien is being filed against. My husband called the number I was given to Kole Robinson and Associates at 813-567-4000 and spoke to Allison Garrison at ext 2234. He explained to her that the judgement was not against him and his son has the same name, but he is legally known as the 2nd. His son also has a different social security, and he is not on title to our property. Allison said it didn't matter. She said she was a 65-year-old atty and the judgement was for 11k but if he wanted to pay it for his son that day by credit card, she would accept 3,900 and not proceed with filing the lien. He said no and she then said she would accept 3k if he called back and paid it by 5 Pm that day. The next day I received a call from her, and she asked if my husband discussed with me their conversation. I said yes and we would be contacting our atty. Her response was "go ahead and waste more money" so I hung up on her. She then called my husband and told him she was only trying to explain to me that it would not work to contact an atty. Our atty advised us not to pay it and he will be looking into it.
