I was told it would cost 5 dollars, and they charged my card 30 dollars

Was on the akc.org website. A popup came up offering to help me with my login/new password etc. The "chat pop up" offered tech support for $1.00 via Paypal. Once the chat person wrote, take control of your computer, I realized my error. I quickly blocked her texts/emails. Never in the chat was the $55 monthly subscription mentioned.

A few days later, I saw a $56.00 monthly subscription charge from the business stating they were Justanswer. Paypal stated I needed to contact the seller to get my money back. I did. They stated they had an A+ Better Business rating. I have contacted the FBI as I believe this is a case of fraud. I am also contacting you as this statement was represented by this seller.

It’s been horrible my answers didn’t get through to any real lawyer any time I tried calling lawyer cording to the recommendations not one of them called me back. Ask master lol she’s charging me monthly $46 so just answer bills under a different name and you can’t get through to customer service or any human being to cancel the subscription that was supposed to only cost five dollars and be refundable and easy to cancel at any time. What a crock of [censored].

Justanswer.com I filled out on internet free trail for 1.00$ i was supposed to speak with a lawyer to help me get my grandchildren back. He gave me no real answers that would help in any way. I logged out got a message from back fraud alert for 48.--$ I immediately went back to justanswer.com and tried to loggin. My loggin would not work. I tried 3 to 4 times. Would not work. I then tried to reset. It sent reset by email, i reset to same password. It told me i couldn't use same password again. So i made a new one. Got in and i couldnt find anyplace to remove so i left an email to company to cancel and replace my money. I forgot to check we had bad tornadoes, no electricity for almost a week. By the time every thing settled they had taken another48.--$ from my bank account. Again i went to justanswer.com login same as before 3 or 4 times i tred to loggin it wouldnt let me. I had to reset again teied same password said could use one i already had. So i reset to another password. Then i asked the just ask for a valid customer service contact. It put me on hold looking for one. Never gave answer or lawyer for me to speak with. Low and behold when i went to my accout under membership it finally had cancel. I then could leave an email again and said i wanted all my mony back and emailed. Afterwards it left a paragraph with a 1800 number for customer service. I called to make it plain i wanted my money back. On the phone said oh i see you have already canceled if you want to talk you have to reinstate you account. I never got to speak with a human person.

Just answer.com advertised get an answer to your question from a professional, doctor, lawyer, veterinarian, for $1.00. They even say the one dollar is refundable. Then they charge you $46.00 monthly. They say by sending them the dollar I’m signing up for membership. There wasn’t anything there saying that. You’re supposed to cancel thu your account. I never had an account. I have no user name or password for this site. They are posting fake reviews on FB and trust pilot with fake people. This is such a fraud.

Got my account for 35 $ despite my cancelling the service after no real advice was given.

Charged $59 instead of $5
The website is a full on scam. They offer you a $5 trial but when you check your credit card statement they actually charge you $59. They’re nothing saying you will get charged $59. It only mentions the $5 trial. The customer service doesn’t help at all either, don’t waste your time.
Charged $59 instead of $5.
Will you please allow me to stop these payments... I can not afford to pay for this service.

Happened to me. They are booking me every month relentlessly. The bit aids the same quotations regardless o of the answer. I’m having $46 taken out of my account every month by “askmasterlaw”! Can’t get through to a human to cancel!

Happened to me as well but they charged me $59

I used this account to find out some information. They charged me $5. Now they are charging me $79 a month for this service. The information they gave me was not enough to handle my problem so I just clicked off. This is a scam as far as I can see. Now I don't know what to do to stop this. They want an account number which I do not have. What do I do?

You’re lucky that you initially got charged just $5, those people are scammers

I received an email claiming to be from my husband. I opened it and clicked on the site. I think it said shark tank. I closed it quickly. I then turned off my phone and iPad. Used the computer and went to Apple-support. I was asked if I would go to a third party and sign up. I was told I would be reimbursed. I said yes and gave her my Mastercard number. Was redirected to JustAnswer. He claimed to check my email and I gave him access to my screen. I got 4 charges on my Mastercard on Jan 4.

I went on Apple support and got a real helper who got me to change my Apple ID and call the bank to change my credit card number. I am now going to see if Mastercard will reimburse me. I am now one of the masses who are embarrassed to say I have been scammed. I keep getting emails from JustAnswer have now blocked them. I am scared to contact them to get out of their system. I don’t trust emailing them. I don’t want to receive bills from them. What do I do?

I agreed for a charge of 5.00 and later found out I also was charged 69.00 so I will dispute the charge

Also happened to me, those people are scammers

I agreed for a charge of 5.00. When I looked at my bank account, I was charged 69.00 and I'm disputing this charge

if you just thought the $5 was it, they will start auto-billing you within 7-days and every month after. they will not refund you anything. so I would double check before using any of these services.

Happened to me as well, but I’m disputing the transaction with the credit card company

This is a site which connects people to doctors. Ask a question and have it answered. They claim to charge a dollar, but they actually charge $46 about a half hour after you approve the $1 transaction. When you try to get the money back, you are told that this isn't possible. And it gets better! You are now enrolled in a membership which will cost you another $46 each month and when you try to cancel this membership, you are directed to log into your account first. But you never did set up an account, so you have no username or password. Isn't this fun? You have to report the charge to your bank's fraud department and hope for the best. My advice? Stay clear of this website.

I have been deducted $49 for a service I have not authorized. I only contacted them a month ago to have my question answered for $5

This company advertise this on it's homepage:

Chat with a Lawyer for personalized help

DUI/DWI, divorce, real estate, child custody, substance testing

Protect your family and your rights with expert legal help

Unlimited chats, plus legal document & small-claims court help. Join for only $5. Cancel anytime.

The purpose of me using this company was to ask one question one time. This company charged me $5.00 twice totalling $10.00. Several days later i was refunded $5.00. October 31, 2022. they charged me $46.00 without my consent or knowledge. November 26, 2022 they charged me again for $46.00. When I called them they said it is a membership fee. However, the membership fee advertised is only $5.00. This is a scam. They refused to refund my money. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and let them know that I was going to report them. After a brief hold, they refunded me the $46.00 that is pending on my bank account currently. They would not refund the first $46.00 they took out on October 31, 2022. This is false advertisement and a way for them to get your credit card information to keep charging you in hopes that you do not notice.

Well put. I’m glad people are not letting this go by easy

I went to the askmasterlaw site in October to have a question answered. I did not know I was joining a recurring membership for paying $5.00 to have a question answered. I saw a charge come through on my bank statement with their phone number. I called. They said I joined at $60 a month. I told her it was not clear on their website that I was joining a membership just paying a one time fee of $5.00. I told her I wanted to cancel and I wanted them to cancel the initial charge for 60 as well. Their number on my bank statement was 800-556-3410.

Avoid their website, I had a horrible experience with them

I am being charged for this service and I never signed up for it

+2

They are full-on scammers, no other way around it, I had a horrible experience with their “service” more like a disservice

I contacted FITBIT to correct a problem with my tracker, namely that the time was not correct. Somehow I was re-directed to this Just Answer site that did not correct the problem, but did charge me, $2.00, for the one time contact, and a $40.00 monthly fee, that I did not agree with so I attempted to cancel my 'membership' that I didn't want in the first place. They have yet to reimburse be the $42.00, but say they have cancelled my membership. I registered a complaint with my credit card company, but have not had a resolution to date.
