I was talking to Verizon on chat because I couldn't get through by phone to discuss that I couldn't get into my account. The agent said she would send a link to get the situation solved. I received a message stating I needed to pay $1.00 fee to resolve the situation. I then look at my bank account and I had been charged $41.00 for the answer to my question. I called and couldn't reach a human. I saw the chat, and I reported my situation to customer service. She said that in order to receive an answer to my question, I would have to purchase a membership for $41.00 a month to get their service. Nowhere on the text did it state you were required to join a membership for $41.00 a month, only $1.00 for a resolution to my problem. I received several text from technical support and none of his suggestions solved the problem. The customer service representative said she would have to connect me to her supervisor who passed me on to another individual and to another. Then I realized I was getting a prefabricated text by a computer. I went into my account to cancel the membership. I followed their instructions and was not able to cancel the account. I went into payment and tried to delete my card, phone, and email information and I couldn't. I am scared that they have my personal information. This is a true scam, and I am afraid others will be hurt. They need to be shut down! Thank you so much.
