Contractor knocked on the door claiming to offer a good deal on an asphalt driveway repair or full replacement. They kept quoting a weekly rate and trying to push for urgency. No written contract was provided, just notes on the back of a business card. They did not want payment before the job was completed and provide a hand-written receipt once work was performed. A couple days later we noted how uneven spots in the driveway and a general lack of finish. Upon calling the contractor to request they come out and look at it a different person answered the call and said we had the wrong number. We called the other number the contractor provided and they stated they would give us a call back. After not hearing from them for a couple days, we tried calling the number again and the call was disconnected.
