Broken English robotic call regarding overdue taxes not collected by the IRS. Recording states that IRS has a lawsuit is pending. Requested to call number back (315)-888-0609 to settle debt.

- West Monroe, LA, USA

Automated caller called me and stared a federal arrest warrant has been issued for my arrest by th IRS. It gave me the number I listed above to call. I called the number and a foreign sounding male answered the phone by saying, “Internal Revenue Service.” I used profanity towards him and he used profanity towards me and the call was terminated and blocked by me.

The voice mail was very threatening, stating that the sherrif was coming to arrest me if I did not respond and return the call immediately. Also stating I had faulsified my income tax return and would be going to jail, that I must respond immediately. I received this message twice in the same day. I did not respond.

- Macon, GA, USA

Receive call from saying they are from the IRS about taxes that were filed this year. She has not filed her taxes yet. They told her if she didn't call them back at number they provided that they were going to have her arrested.

Received a voicemail from someone claiming to be from the IRS about tax inconsistency. I have 24 hours to respond they will arrest me.

- Pontiac, MI, USA

Contacted twice by this number regarding past due taxes, stating they would be contacting the local cops to have me taken into custody if I did not call them back. And that this was serious allegation and I should get back with them so they could discuss about this case before taking any legal action against me and that I can reach them at 240-487-9048. All of this was left on my voicemail. When I called them back and told them, I did not owe them any money and why were they calling me, they got irate and started talking really fast. The guy was a foreigner, and I told them not to contact me anymore about this and that I knew from listening to channel 7 news they were fake and that the IRS would not be contacting me to say they were sending the police after me. The guy got even more upset and said we will be there to pick you up.

- Chicago, IL, USA

I received a phone call that sounded like a automated voice informing me that I am being notified to call back this number 419-301-6063 to speak with the internal revenue service. I am trying to find out if this is legitimate.

- Centerview, MO, USA

A message was left on my cell phone on March 21, 2018. The message was, "Hi, this is Officer Ryan Smith from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. This is to notify you that you are under federal investigation because of the fraud and unethical activities found in the audit of your taxes. You can reach me on 915-444-4887. Do not try to disregard this message or else it will be taken as an offense from your side. Again this is Officer Ryan Smith from Internal Revenue Service."

This exact message was left a second time on my cell phone on March 22, 2018. The second time he said "You can reach me on 206-629-8533."

- Boulder, CO, USA

The voicemail is as follows: "IRS the issue at hand is a very time sensitive the very second you receive this message I need you or your attorney to return the call at my number which is 972-664-4783. If you do not return the call you will have to face the legal consequences.

- Wentzville, MO, USA

- Jackson, MO, USA

Man called with a thick foreign accent claiming to be Officer Jason Smith stating that I was being criminally charged for criminal fraud and tax evasion and if I didn’t listen to him and do what he said, officers would be at my front doorstep within 45 minutes to an hour. He claimed I needed to listen to the details of this on a recorded line and not interrupt him or disconnect the call for any reason. I explained I was driving and wanted to be able to make detailed notes of what he was saying so I would call him back. He hung up immediately and hasn’t called back again.

- Phoenix, AZ, USA

An "Officer" from the Internal Revenue Service claims they have filed a suit against me for improperly filing my taxes in year 2014 and 2015. I asked him why I have not been notified by mail. He says they did notify me and since I did not respond the police tried to serve me and said I basically am evading so if we continue there will be a warrant out for my arrest blah blah blah. This needs to stop! People do not need this fake scare tactic especially right now. I can't imagine how many sweet little elderly people will be scared to death by this. I eventually told him it sounded like a scam and hung up. I did not let him get to the point of asking me to pay anything.

- Topeka, KS, USA

I received an atutomated phone call from the above mentioned number prompting me to call back immediately in violation of tax fraud laws. When I returned the call to the same number the man was rude and threatened to send police to my door and hung up on me. I called again and the same man again made threats against my personal space and did not answer my questions but rather already knew my first name and offered no assistance, only threats of sending officers to my home and repeatedly disrespecting me and ending the call.

They left me a voicemail saying that something was going to "get expired within 24 working hours and once again expired. After that you will be taken under custody by the local cops as there are 4 serious allegations pressed against your name at the moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is 716-371-9758. I repeat 716-371-9758." When I called the number back there was a lot of background noise and I told them I had a missed call about 50 minutes ago. Then I asked if this was the IRS and he said yes. I proceeded to tell him that the IRS doesn't make calls, they send letters and I knew it was a scam and would be turning them in. Then I hung up. I decided to call again and stay on the line longer and a female answered this time, still a lot of background noise, and asked if I received a missed call or a voicemail and I said both. She then told me they do not make phone calls and tried asking a question but the background noise was so distracting I hung up.

This is the IRS calling to inform you of a lawsuit pending, need to call or have my attorney call as soon as I get the message or face criminal charges, it was a computer or pre recorded call.

Alesha Pardon, badge number IR6436481 called me informing me that I owed $8850.00 to the IRS for tax years 2013 - 2017, due to me miscalculating my taxes. She advised that there was a Warrant out for my arrest because I didn't answer my door when the IRS came to deliver my mail. She said my case ID is DC121107. When I asked her to send it to me in writing, she got short and hostile with me and when I asked her for my SSN, she hung up on me.
