She sent her resume but they never sent a job description, even after she requested one. But they set up an interview, telling her she had been shortlisted for the job.
I could not find an active LinkedIn profile using either name. When I googled the email, up popped your scam report! This confirmed my suspicions, so THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much for taking the time to share your experience.

Type of a scam Employment
Brenda Thomason emailed me back a few days later setting up a time for the interview. Day of the interview they informed me it would be done via email. I was asked a series of questions. As the interview progressed I noticed the Grammer and spelling became terrible. At the end of the interview and 5 minutes of deliberating with a team I was offered a position. They informed me they would do a background check via ID.me and send me a check to use with their vendors.
I never received the check (lost in transit).
I've been "employed" for a week and I haven't heard from anyone.
