They contacted me about a possible job offer. They sent me an email with the job description and conducted an interview by sending me an email with interview questions. I was then informed that I was hired, had me sign a job offer letter. They then sent me a check to purchase equipment, then asked me to either send a wire transfer or cashapp to a third party who would then purchase the necessary equipment. The check that they sent was in the amount of $4,119.00. Since I felt uncomfortable with the process, I told them that I would rather wait a few days to ensure the check was real before proceeding. They then accused me of trying to be fraudulent. I contacted Discovery Education and they informed me that the the way the email address for these people is formatted, is not the way they format their email address.
