A man claiming to be a part of HUMA came to me thru text message directing me to download Telegram Messenger to speak to David Kingdesk (HR) for an interview. Ended up sending me a $5000 up front check and then wanted me to wire money to various people via Zelle. Except I didn’t send the money I kept the money

They sent a supposed-to-be starter check. They only want you to deposit in USAA accounts only via mobile deposit. They will perform an interview through an app on your phone you'll have to download.

I had the exact same thing happen with the exact people named above! My bank called me right away and said it was a scam! If it’s too good to be true, it's not real!

It all started this morning when I got a text from a company's manager at HUMA, a legit startup company from the UK. I was contacted by someone named Lillian Curry. They said the interview took place on Skype messenger, all through chat. The interview was given by a doctor David King. I had an interview, answered their questions, and got offered the job right on the spot. I got an offer letter from Thomas Peter, and it was signed by James Williams, director of HR at HUMA. They then told me that they were emailing me a check to deposit into my account to buy my equipment with, which was the huge red flag. Mary Built sent me the check.They told me to take a screenshot when it was deposited through mobile deposit, I'm assuming so they'd have me account information. I called the banks(mine and the bank of the check) and they told me not to be careful because I'd be charged a large penalty if it didn't clear. I went digging online and many people have been scammed through the same thing. I also went digging into HUMA, and none of the people that I spoke with are employed by the company.
