In talking to HP tech support, I was re-routed to other phone numbers, supposedly direct lines, and told I had security breaches on my computer and they offered to put licenses on my computer to protect me for a fee. They followed up every 2 months, pointing out I needed another license for a new problem. This happened over 7 months and absolutely no security measures were ever placed on my computer. I believed them, and I paid. Names used: Jennifer, Sam, Ron. Other phone #s: 801-251-7666, 206-710-2383, 956-462-0539.

I received 5 phishing emails with a black and white logo instead of the color logo. 2 fraudulent charges from HP Instant Ink in August 2024 and September 2024 after the card was canceled. Phishing emails requested updating payment. Requested account look-up on the official website for HP Instant Ink. I was told my bank account was closed by HP Instant Ink's contact-us chat on the official website. I later called my bank, who stated my account was not closed, in fact I had a payment due in 3 days. Requested that HP Instant Ink send me a physical paper letter confirming request of need to update payment information. Representative's supervisor refused. I gave feedback that it is not appropriate to allege bank account closed in order to obtain payment. Alleged supervisor requested my credit card number. I refused and requested account cancelation and requested physical paper letter confirming account closure. Alleged supervisor refused.

Was having a problem with a new HP printer. HP does not provide a phone number for Tech Support so I looked on the internet. Found one that appeared to be for HP. Called and really got a runaround. Kept asking me if I could hear them. Then connected to my computer and told me I had a virus. At this point I hung up and disconnected their connection with my computer. I hope no damage was done. Am glad there is a place to report this.
