I was approached on TikTok to record a bass guitar track for a “Soundtrack” for a construction company. The song was a minute long and I assumed it would be the soundtrack for a promotional video so I spent an hour working on it and doing a thoughtful job. I looked up the phone number attached to the website and discovered other musicians have been targeted and even lost money over this. Fortunately I caught it before anything bad happened but unfortunately I sent them the track I worked hard on.
