I received a call from 8559170633 someone by the name Veronica stating that she's calling from the county and that they are trying to serve me. She gave my old addresses and family members names even which is everything you can find on Google. She even contacted my family members. Said I need to call 18887214604 asap. So tired of these scamming people get a fn job.

Old Credit Card Debt

Received a call today saying that I owed 1036.00 on a credit card from 2013. Was told they were in the process of sending a garnishment notice to my employer for $3,000 unless I wanted to pay the original 1036.00 by midnight. Thankfully, I am very skeptical of scams and will not be paying them a dime. Scary thing is they did call my employer while “trying to reach me.!” Michael Landing and Ryan Eubanks are the names I was given.

Attempt of scam

Thankfully I caught this scam. My story is exactly the same as the man stated above, right down to the numbers I owe. They called and threatened me thru multiple phone numbers the address they use is for a home in Indiana. I’ve also contacted the sheriffs department and the FTC. It’s sad people like these guys exist. Be weary as HC Associates is NOT a real law firm. I called them back this evening and said I have the law on the line and they blocked me. GOOD TRY GUYS. Get a job, get a life.

Debt Collection Scam

Received a voicemail to call the company back due to failed attempts to issue court summons due to a debt from almost 10 years ago. I called the number they left and the phone was only answered "Legal Department" no firm name and I was put on hold for quite some time. A "Michael Landing" answered the phone and said that I was in a lot of trouble due to a debt and was being sued that my employer has been notified to granish my wages and that if I didn't act before midnight I would be taken to court. He then gave me a list of options to keep from going to court one of which was to pay "in Full" over $1,600 or I could pay monthly and the total would be almost $3,300 with attorney fees. But if I were to sign a docusign document before midnight I could avoid going to court. I was sent a docusign document from Michael landing which had the old Continential airline logo on it with the company name of HC & Associates on behalf of Horowitz Cohen & Associates. In the document it asked for my credit card number.

This company has my social security number, my phone number, my old address and my name. I had a past debt with HSBC but not one that is current.

Credit Card Debt Collection Scam through Fake Law Firm HC & Associates

Received a phone call voicemail from Ruben (Michael Landing) from HC & Associates (Using the old Continental Airlines as their logo) regarding a credit card I had with HSBC-Orchard Bank that I owed a balance $3,097.90 from 2012 and it went to collections and got sold to this Law Firm and they were going to serve me tomorrow if I didn't pay a settlement amount of $949.90. I asked them to send me the letter via email and it was DocuSign document for me to sign and enter my credit/debit card details. I told them I had to research this and yes I had a credit card with HSBC but I paid it off. I contacted HSCB and they had no record of the collection and I also called Capital one who took over Orchard bank and they also didn't have a record of a collection from me and then I looked up Horowitz Cohen & Associates and found out that they were a debt settlement scam so I left it alone. The phone call was from an unknown number but they left a number 888-824-0311 and a file number. They had my social security number and my address and threatened to take me to court and notify my job over $900 almost 10 years later. Even the letter looked suspicious as it had mistakes and typos. I am attaching this below. I hope they call me again today so that I can tell them that they have been reported.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

Received a phone call stating I owed on a credit card from 2004. This card has been paid off and account closed since 2008. Told me I would be issued a warrant for arrest for evading if I didn’t sign a contract to pay in full to avoid arrest. Caller refused to give me his full name or the website of who he is representing. Keeps telling me all the information with be on the papers that will be served to my home or employment.
