I haven't checked with my Facebook friend, yet, but the details (except for the phone number) are the same. The whole conversation seemed very unreal (supposedly my name was on a list that she received with her offer), so I asked for the name of the organization or the website. I was given only the name, David Clinton, and the phone number.

I got a Facebook text message from a friend of mine. that said I should claim my grant winnings. I didn't know what she was talking about so I got a second message that had a picture of this David Clinton and you clicked on the picture and it took you to a website of David Clinton the head of this government grant winnings.

this was posted on his website/Facebook page. A MAN OF GOD AND READY TO DELIVER ALL THE WINNING GRANT TO THE OWNER WITHOUT ANY DELAY LIKEWISE READ

I was very skeptical of the whole situation. There wasn't any real information on the website. So, I messaged that I had heard that I had won a grant. He responded almost immediately. The he asked for my house address, phone number, which sex I was, if I was divorced, my email address. I didn't reply at first, I asked questions - I hadn't applied for a grant, and I told him I didn't live in a house. So, I finally filled out the information he requested. Then he messaged me this information: Reference # Q045DXD0F/883 Ticket Number: A03Z6731BMN/009 FedEx Package Label Number: 990248417534. Then he asked me to give him $500.00 to pay for fee's etc. before I could claim my $150,000.00. I immediately broke off the connection. I reported to Facebook. and now to the BBB. Attached is the picture of David****

This scammer pretended to be a close personal Facebook Messenger friend. The profile picture and profile information were identical to my friend's Facebook profile. The scammer "claimed" to have received a letter in the mail about the homecare grant. They gave me a phone number to text in order to get more information. When I contacted my actual friend via text message to follow-up, she informed me that she had not been in communication with me via Facebook Messenger nor had she heard about this grant at all. Her account had been compromised and I had started a text conversation with the scammer. The name the scammer used is David Clinton and this is the phone number used to text me 256-888-7165.
