I received a letter that says I need to pay them money as there has been title activity for my primary residence.

Received a very official looking letter. At first we thought it was a bill for a recording fee for our property, which we had already paid. They were trying to sell us title monitoring. The company is supposedly in Newark, New Jersey. The money, if we had paid it was going to Norco, CA. There was no such company at the NJ address.

Reiceived letter from Home Title Services (phone: (862) 420-0053), Notice of Recording stating Public Records show a recent records affecting our property..(listed our address), Stating this company is a private Title Monitoring company offering a comprehensive Title Monitoring services to help protect our investment.

Listed our Parcel Number. Onetime fee of $259..

Respond by: February 27. 2026.
