Scammer called to offer a free roof inspection. At first said he said they were offering homeowners in the area free roof inspections and asked how old my roof was. Then when I questioned him about the name of his company he said he worked with my insurance company and when pressed said that he worked with the state and insurance companies regardless of who my policy is through. Wanted to know that my house was insured and asked if I was the homeowner and even read my address asking if this was my address. Pushed to make an appointment and I told him I would not be there because I worked and then pushed for another time outside of work hours. After I hung up I called the number back and received a message that the number was no longer in service or disconnected. I'm now concerned someone will show up at my house.

He said he was going to do the roof a certain day and after I ask multiple time and even put the start date on the check he didn’t. He gave me excuses and kept saying he was coming in couple days and he will drop off materials which he didn’t. I ask to give me the materials and call it even ave he just stop communicating. I had to hire another company and even go to court where I found out he has multiple claims already.

Offered “governing funding grants” for homeowners that need assistance improving their home. They stated they assist finding programs to help funding and repairs

He came to my house and gave me a estimate and said he had to pull a permit to run the gas line $125 I paid him he emailed me a fake invoice stop answering the phone then blocked me

James Smith contacted our residential Facebook group. A group that you have to be approved to get into. He posted about air duct cleaning and have very good reviews so everything seemed to check out. My wife and I requested a quote and they gave us a reasonable price of $200 to clean our ductwork. We scheduled service for 11/27/22. I was at work when they came and within 5 minutes of being there they told my wife that our ducts have mold and mildew and cleaning would be $1,200 but they could do it for $700. I immediately called her to say don't do that, just get the regular cleaning, but she said they showed her pictures of the mold and she said it looked very bad. So we went ahead and had them go through with it. My wife said they were in and out with "mold cleaning" in 30 minutes. Online it says cleaning can take up to 4 hours. We then started to hear from other neighbors who said they had done the same script with them. $200 dollar cleaning but then, "we found mold". I checked the ducts when I got home and I do believe they cleaned them, but I don't think they did a $700 job. Most the vents were still pretty dirty. We are very certain we were taken advantage of and do not want anyone else to fall prey to these people.

They used cheap materials, didnt finish any of the jobs I paid for. The bathroom is completely not useable.,everything is half done. They were drunk on job alot. Only worked a couple hours a day. Took me for 8,000. I feel like a fool plus depressed. My house is a complete mess. I really dont know who to trust anymore. I'm by myself I'm 71 and feel broken and terribly depressed. What people will do without a conscious. Sloppy work

This person, Robert Anderson Benson, asked for a check that was supposed to be for any extras for carpet installation, however, he deposited the check into his acct. dropped off the carpet and padding, and never did the work!! Would not answer text or phone calls left.. Promised he was going to start on a certain date but never showed!!

We also had him to install a commode that he said would be done quickly, but then asked for 125.00, and I purchased the item myself! I only paid that amt bcause we wanted other work done!

The company "owner" Brendan Campbell was not able to provide proof of insurance or proper paperwork to verify his business. I was not able to locate this company upon any research I tried. The phone numbers not listed and there is no website or trail of reviews he claimed to have.

Paid half of the total amount for work to start. Contractor showed up, started demo and left my house a mess. Now he is not responding to any of my messages. Haven’t heard from him in weeks. Also kept my money.

Gavin McWilliams told my father and I how he can handle insurance companies and repair my roof and fence. All he did was take our money and disappear.

Someone knocked on my door last week about taking a tree down. I filled out a form and signed it. I'm 79 years old and nothing was written on the form which was a red flag. They did trimming and didnt take the tree down, they cut at the base and it look like it will rust and fall over on the house, limbs on the roof and around the house didnt clean up anything. They sent me a bill for 12K and I was told 1,200. I wrote him a check for 1,300. I asked for a card and they didnt give me anything. They said the name of tree service is "Reliable". When I went outside to get a card they drove off. (Gregory Houston) was the man who came by.

My wife reached out to John Mercado (AKA John Angel, AKA EVF Construction LLC) to perform some yard work. The work to be done and price of $700 was agreed upon to perform the work. John requested $425 dollars up front to cover the cost of supplies. My wife sent him the money via Cash App. A few days later he asked for another $200 because he claimed he needed more money. My wife then sent him the $200. After receiving the money and promising to complete the job on multiple time, he disappeared and had ignored numerous phone calls and voicemails and will not respond to these repeated attempts to contact. Upon further investigation, we discovered that his license to work in Florida had previously been revoked and he is continuing to offer services through his company on a revoked license.

Called the company to service a furnace. We arranged a service date and time frame. They said they were running a promotional special for their service fees for the month. I said wonderful and gave my credit card to book the technician. At this time I was also able to schedule an electrician and roofer for different projects on our property.

The next day I get a call from another person and they inform me that their technician has had a medical incident and would not be able to make the appointment and do not know when they would return. I told them I would just like to cancel my services and want my money back. They seemed to not have my other appointments for an electrician or roofer that they would contract out. At This point I realize that this business is selling “service fee” reductions and no actual services. I check my credit card and see that I do have a pending credit to counter the debit from “premium home services 855-4350122”

Don Berman came to our house to give us a quote for some home improvement. He began the job, left one day and we never heard from him again. He left us with a half finished wall, unfinished bedroom, unfinished doors, unfinished windows, unfinished molding and no paint job.

Progressive Home by Homesite issued a homeowners insurance policy for my fiancé and I when we were applying for our mortgage with no problems. After a month of insuring us, the company had an inspection company come out to look at the home, who was on our property without consent. This inspection company claimed to find many issues with the house, even though it was previously inspected and cleared the inspection. Homesite wanted us to complete thousands of dollars of repairs to the house, including a new roof when our current insurance company said it was fine the way it was. We also had a professional roofer come and look at the house and were told that it was in great condition. Upon looking at reviews of the inspection company and Homesite it was obvious that this company has done this in the past and it feels as though Homesite is a scam.

I hired J and M lawn company via Facebook as friends and family recommended them for lawn care. They were inconsistent to show to begin with. In the month of September 2022 I made my monthly payment for 4 mows. Only 3 mows were completed. I messaged the owner about out 4th now and for our October invoice. At first they answered. But now they have stopped answering me texts. They still owe me one mow. I know this is minor but the company is basically ghosting me and who knows how many others they are taking advantage of. I have text messages documenting what they owe me, and they have not disputed what I am saying. I’m attaching my text messages and I also can attach proof of payment if needed (this system only lets me upload one document). It is not professional to accept payment and not follow through on services. If this is how a company operates they should not be in business.

I had a very odd phone call to discuss a project. This business is falsely advertising they have an A+ ScamPulse.com Rating. ScamPulse.com site shows they are NR...not rated. False advertising is the first step to scamming people. Only online reviews are 1 star with customers saying they are being ripped off. At least stop them from using ScamPulse.com false advertising. Scroll down their webpage and you'll find it. Did they attempt to take money? lol Never gave them the chance after seeing they lied about ScamPulse.com rating.

Advertising on (David Dew) Facebook. Was suppose to come do rinse cleaning and sent a guy. He sprayed something and he took $481 and it would take 10 days for him to come back. He wanted the money right away and they didnt take checks or venmo and his card machine didn't work so we gave him cash $481. It's been two months since we heard from him.

Called me offering “free roof inspection” wouldn’t give me company name or information. Caller insisted on showing up at my residence at 6PM on Wednesday.

The caller asked for an unknown individual. I immediately said he had reached the wrong number and he just kept talking. I again corrected him saying he had the wrong number. He continued to offer his services. He read my address to me, asked if I was under contract with any roofers, and then asked me for my gate code which I refused to give. He then said he would be at my residence at a given time and hung up. I tried calling back and it was an invalid number.
