I listed a pool on Marketplace. He contacted me for one of his customers. I contacted him with price reduction and he asked for my phone # so he could get more into for his customer. He then told me if I had other buyers asking for installation etc to feel free to contact him to help each other out. As people asked for the installation info and costs he gave me prices...not too low and not too high. My husband and I decided to move forward with the install rather than losing more money on the pool shell. We talked numbers and he said he wanted to send his excavator to look at access etc. for the dig. The excavator was local..he also contacted him on Marketplace. We moved forward with the contract and the excavator ca.e as per the contract and dug the hole on Apr. 21st. Both yhe excavator and myself were expecting his crew to start on 22nd. He called excavator and told him because of rain they would start on 24th. He contacted me on 24th to say that his crew was behind because of rain an d would start on 26th. I became suspicious and tried to contact excavator but the excavator did not get paid and contacted us. The address on the invoice is a parking lot and the name associated to Pool Guy on Marketplace is Jarred Hayman. When we googled his ame we realized we had both been scammed.
