Scammer pretended to be Alex Ballard a school official with the Hemet school district, looking for me to provide original illustrations to him and he would send me a bank check for the work provided. I asked the scammer to reply to a message I sent to him via Linkedin where the genuine individual has a profile. The scammer insisted on communicating via email.

I did not provide more information than is in my email signature, my name, email, and phone number.

Artwork commission scam

Got a similar email to the others on this thread. Same email address but he specified Hemet School District. I looked it up and there is a guy by this name there, but he’s the Assistant Director of Transportation not the Coordinator of Academic Activities as he claimed to be.
