I was trying to call healthcare.gov and googled healthcare.gov in the search bar. Health Enrollment Group populated as a Google Sponsered Ad right under the Healthcare.gov sponsered ad, making it appear is it is Healthcare.gov. Therefore, I clicked their number and called them. A man got on the phone and was able to find all my information with just my Name and Birthdate. He has access to my address, current healthcare plan, how much I make as income, my children's name, everything about my family so there was nothing to second guess! He told me that my insurances did increase and offered me a supplemental insurance called Washington National and told me I could start paying for that along with the new plan he chose for me. Thankfully, I wasn't home to give him my family's social security number but I did give him mine! And now I am worried. They called me back the next day to confirm the socials and to finish enrollment but something just didnt sit right this time. I started to google reviews on this "Juan Tovar" guy, extension 1004, and he's been flagged on many sites. I called healthcare.gov (actually this time) to see if they have on record a phone call from me in which they responded NO. The woman on the phone the proceeded to tell me that they most likely had my info since most applications use a database called SHURPA which explains how he knew almost everything about me. I am thankful he doesn't have my children's SS numbers, however he has mine. Google should also flag this company and refrain them from advertising as a sponsored ad, especially when trying to impersonate a federal government website.
