It was enrollment period for insurance and I received an email offering insurance. I called the number on the email and was offered an insurance plan that included dental and vision. I enrolled in this insurance. However after calling several physicians and dentists in the area, no one accepts the insurance as it reportedly “does not exist”. I called the insurance customer service multiple times to clear that up and was told by an agent that the doctors offices were not running the insurance correctly and that I would be covered. I called numerous times to try to cancel the account and get a refund for services which were not delivered and was told that I would be canceled and refunded. However, I continue to receive charges on my account. When I have called back again after this to inquire on why I continue to receive recurring charges, I am assured that it has been canceled. I have attempted to be escalated to a manager or supervisor and have been told, “They will call you back in about a week. I have made a note with your information.” In summary, this is a scam insurance company that goes by Membership Benefits Plus, EVEREST, or ONE HEALTH. I have received charges and seen emails from all 3 of those companies. It is dangerous because the individual is paying for health insurance and think that they are protected and if they unfortunately suffer a life threatening illness or require major surgery, they will not be covered and have to pay the full cost all while also paying for a scam insurance.
