Ordered a laptop on a friday - received an order confirmation and no further communication. Order status stayed at "pending" for a few days. Sent a followup email, no response. Called them the following tuesday and was told the laptop was on backorder and would be at least 4-6 weeks. The guy on the phone offered me to change my order to a lower-spec'd laptop (meanwhile their website still shows the one I ordered as in stock). Seems like they actually are a company but poorly run at best. Not sure if they were trying to bait and switch or I just got unlucky, but hope its not a credit card scam.

Placed an order for a projector from this website. It gave me an order confirmation number and thanked me after I entered my payment method. Later I received a phone call stating that since my purchase cost over a certain dollar amount they wanted to make sure I meant to order the item. The guy then asked if I would like to change my shipping method to overnight and o said no. I have yet to receive my order, their email will not respond and the phone number goes straight to voicemail but the voicemail acts like you’ve called a number that is different. Very fishy and I am out the money for it and don’t know if I will ever see my package. Please avoid this page, I don’t know how to get my money back and don’t want others to lose theirs as well.

Purchased a laptop through website. The next business, I received a nondescript email requesting that I call their listed number to confirm my order. I was not given shipping confirmation, but was told I would receive it the next day. I called twice the next day, both times I was told they were checking with their vendor and would call back. No response. I cancelled my order. No cancellation receipt, which gives me the impression they never intended to fulfill the order. No way to delete online account information or privacy of information. listed price for laptop was significantly cheaper than other websites. Business address listed is actually a residential address.

I ordered a laptop from HD Vision Works on July 1. It was listed as "in stock" with 7 day ground shipping. On July 6, I received the following email:

Hi,

Please call 240-343-7838 to confirm your order.

Thank you,

HDvisionworks.com support.

I promptly called the number provided, & the man who answered simply said, "Hello." I told him that I was instructed to call & verify my order. He said he didn't know why, would check with the distributor, & would call me right back. I never received a return call. On July 9 I went online to check on the order status, & it was still listed as processing. I called the phone # listed on their website, which is also the one that was provided in the email. When the man answered, I requested a status update on the order & was told the same thing as before, at which point I informed the man that I had called several days prior & never received a return call. He apologized & said that COVID-19 has caused delays. I looked the business up on Scam Advisor & found three complaints against this online electronics vendor that mirrored my experience. In light of the red flags, I had doubts that the order would be fulfilled and that my credit card info would remain secure. As a result, I cancelled my credit card, attempted to cancel my order online, & decided to report my experience so that the ScamPulse.com could determine whether or not this is a reputable online business. I find it unacceptable that, when I checked the order status online, it simply said "Processing" for an item that was listed as "in stock" & ordered 8 days prior. If the business is a sham, I want their website taken down so that others don't make the mistake of trying to order from them. In the unlikely event that the business is legitimate, they need to: 1) improve upon their professionalism when taking calls; 2) respond to customer emails & telephone inquiries in a timely manner; & 3) proactively update customers on order status & any unforeseen shipping delays.
