A salesperson showed up at our door in Waterloo claiming that she needed to measure our pipes to make sure that filter would fit, a filter that had been mandated to be installed in our house. She said that the filter was free and said that our whole street had to get these new filters. The promise of "chemical-free water" was made.

She asked my husband if I was home and kept asking if she should take her shoes off or leave them on.

The salesperson did not identify herself, or her company but her badge read "Greenlife". My husband asked for sales collateral, and asked her to talk more about her company and she said she would drop off information later on.

My husband refused to let her in, and she reacted somewhat aggressively, stating that, "I don't understand, I just need to go down and check your water, so I can put the filter in, and this area has chemical-filled water, the water isn't drinkable, you need our filters."

My husband refused to let her in and she left.

Two men came door to door to sell water filtration system. They originally said they were sent to check my water main and the sediment in my pipes. I thought it was from the city so I agreed (stupidly). Before I knew it there was a water filtration system put in my house and I cancelled with them the very next day, still waiting for it to be removed.

Greenlife Water representatives aggressively claimed they were installing water filters on behalf of the province. Further research shows that Ontario is *not* providing free water filters. They exaggerated the risks caused by chlorine in the water supply. The "installer was in the neighbourhood", and said it would be more expensive to install if we didn't do it today.

I refused the offer, but it was difficult to get the man out of our house.
