I have been looking for employment using Indeed.com and came across a job that would benefit me as an additional source of income. The employer claims to be a 3rd-party affiliate of Amazon offering opportunities to work as a foot courier in NYC. This company is listed on Indeed under the name: "Gotham Logistics LLC." I applied just 2 days ago receiving a message from a human resources individual requesting information from me to in order to receive an offer letter. The information requested was an e-mail address. That immediately didn't sit right with me, because I had just finished applying using my resume which already had my contact info on there. This was definitely a "red flag" and when I started digging around online for reviews about working for this company, I couldn't find it anywhere. That prompted me to check on the Better Business Bureau website and to no surprise..... the company doesn't exist. This is not an employer. This is a scammer looking to harvest people's information. I've already dealt with an imposter employer once before, so I immediately picked up on what was going on. It's a nefarious act, but before deciding to let this "company" know I was declining their "job offer," I felt the obligation to inform you guys at the ScamPulse.com first before more people become victims of identity theft. Indeed.com needs to hear about this and they should be held liable for not vetting imposters on their job search website.
