I am selling a vehicle. A person identifying as Vincent texted me from 206-580-0930 expressing interest in my vehicle advertised on Craig’s List. He said that he was very interested. He claimed to want to see it tomorrow, Friday, July 17. I agreed. He then requested that I send him the “GAR paperwork.” I asked what that was? He said that it is only attainable by the owner on getautoreport.com. I checked that website. It appeared to be sketchy so I checked the government site for approved vehicle history companies. They were not on it. I informed Vincent that I would be reporting the website. He has the info on my ad, my cell number, and my first name. I hope that is not enough to steal my identity.
