Got a call at my workplace saying an employee/friend was in the hospital and being arrested for driving under the influence. "Deputy Johnson" mentioned he has been to my place of work before and provided vague details about her, not giving me her name due to HIPPA he said, but provided a height, her company position and the fact she was not at work today. He then said she was asking me to post bail, to which I obliged as she is a friend. He sent me pictures of barcodes to scan at the Wal-Mart money center to send $1000 increments to what he claimed was the bond office. He instructed me to stay on the phone, but not tell people he was the deputy. He had a country accent and would tell me he was a 60 year old man, joked about enjoying laughter and fun stories about the Wal-Mart employees. He mentioned he had been to my place of work before (a cafe). After the first 2 installments of $1000 worked, he had me send $1000 via PayPal to a "Mitchell White" (the so-called bond officer). The call hung up after anf when I was able to call my friend, she was at home and had not been at the hospital.
