SCAM COMPANY! DO NOT TRUST!

Mentally i been in a very rough place. Been stressed out with debt from a divorce. Sooooooooo i recieve a debt collection call about a debt i own thru a payday loan company. Franklin and Reynolds called and said i had a debt weirdly they said I owed the same amounts that was on my loan. they knew my address and the last 4 of my social. They said i had to pay it by that friday or they were putting a lien on my personal property. they offered me an amount of 800 or monthly payments of 280. I paid the 280. As soon as i paid it, i noticed on my bank statement it said smart connect companies. they man said after collecting payment that he was going to send me a payment schedule and if i didn't get it call him back in 30 mins. so i call them and no response... I then call my loan company to confirm they received the payment. The loan company said, my case was internal in their office and i was scammed and they never sent it to a lawyers office. When i called back the franklin and reynold number and explained to the man he needed to return my money or get a charge back, he then hung up on me. Luckily my bank promptly refunded my money to me. Fast forward a month later a woman called me today stating she was with franklin and reynold and my card i had on file declined. I cussed her out and called her a scammer. she then threatened legal action and called out my address and hung the phone up. Do not make my mistake at all! if its not an official letter it is fake and scammy. be smart!

Wage garnishment threat

Called from 239-799-1248 (Naples, FL), said to call Franklin & Reynolds at 844-716-4614. Called that and got voicemail for Robert Norton. There is a website with that law firm in Arlington VA, but only general information and no information about actual attorneys. Google searched Robert Norton in Arlington VA and only found a 2017 obituary.

SCAMMERS

Claim they from a law firm Franklin & Reynolds. I work for the courts, so I'm able to check into all lawyers that has a bar #. They call from a (667)408-8066 which says Annapolis but leave a number to make you call back at 855-295-2590( now this number do associate with the actual law firm in Arlington, VA). But for one they are not calling you if they want to serve you and they do not do courtesy calls to say they coming. I dont trust it and im not calling back. DO NOT ANSWER WHEN THEY CALL. The case number they gave is not real
